One of the greatest days of my life! Visiting Kruger National Park has been a lifelong dream and our visit with guide Armand did not disappoint. We were picked up at 5am from our hotel, arriving just on sunrise and we were able to see 26 species in a 3/4 day safari. Armand was an excellent spotter and very knowledgable on the animals. He didn't rush us and made sure we had our photos before moving. The Matumi jeep was in great condition and the blankets for the cold were a nice touch. List of animals seen: Helmeted Guinea Fowl, Saddleback stork, Egyptian Geese, Egret, Starling, Ostrich, Crocodile, Giraffe, Wilderbeast, Hippo, African Elephant, Hyena, White Rhino, Lion, White backed Vulture, Leopard Vulture, Steenbok, Kudu, Impala, Water Buck, Drongo, Tawny Eagle, Warthog, Lilac Breasted Roller, Baboon, Hornbill.

I was at the Matumi reserve recently and it was simply awesome. We saw tons of Rhinos ( which is amazing in itself!) and servers other Big 5 animals. The trip was all the more amazing because we had a fantastic guide named Gert. He shared so much knowledge and tidbits about the wildlife that we learned tons! I would definitely do it again!!!

the guides are incredibly kind and explain everything we need to know. The games in the private reserve are awesome and we saw the big four there. In the end of the second game matumi and all the crew helped us in the last minute to get a half tour for kruger that was another level of beauty.

We completed a full day safari in Kruger and also had a big 5 morning safari. Josh was our guide for both days and was fantastic! He had a real passion for the animals and did everything in his power to ensure we had a brilliant time! Across the 1.5days we saw: rhinos, lions, cheetahs, hyenas, jackals, elephants, giraffes, hippos, buffalo, warthogs, zebras, impala and many others. Thank you Josh

Amazing experience! I have been in Africa for over 7 years running a charity in the conservation space. I take my hat off to this team for being so professional, personable, knowing their duty, and having the utmost respect for the wildlife and ecosystems they are able to teach people about. Highly recommend this team!

We had a afternoon game drive with ranger Gert. It was an amazing experience! He followed the tracks to a rhino and a leopard! Gert also told us a lot about the animals. Really recommended!

We booked a big 5 morning safari and a pickup from our hotel for 4 people. The pickup was on time and done by a climatised and very comfortable minivan. Later we transfered to a 4x4 game drive vehicle for 6 guests and had two very nice guides. The Safari was really interesting with lots of great pictures and was topped by coffee, tea and biscuits on top of a small hill with a great view of the reserve.

Incredible team!! I’ve been lucky enough to enjoy several game drives with Matumi in Pridelands and The Kruger National Park. Every trip has been filled with sightings from dung beetles to elephants!! Their knowledge and passion for all creatures, not just the Big 5, is why I love them so much!!

I’ve had the pleasure of booking several safaris with Matumi Travels over the last two years, and each experience has been amazing. As a biologist, I truly appreciate the depth of knowledge their guides have about the bush, wildlife, and ecosystems. They are not only professional but also incredibly friendly, with a great sense of humor. They make every moment enjoyable and educational. I highly recommend Matumi Travels for anyone seeking an unforgettable safari experience in Kruger National Park and Greater Kruger!
