National Women’s Health Week
Mother’s Day not only celebrates motherhood but also kicks off National Women’s Health Week, running from May 12-18 this year. The theme is “Women’s Health, Whole Health: Prevention, Care and Wellbeing.”
Here are some CDC-recommended actions to prioritize your health and wellbeing:
Schedule regular checkups, including a yearly well-woman exam. Discuss any health concerns with a healthcare provider.
Get active. Adding just 10 minutes of light or moderate activity each day can make a difference.
Eat a healthy, balanced diet. Adding leafy greens or cutting down on processed foods can lead to improved health.
Prioritize mental health and develop tools to manage stress.
Practice healthy behaviors. Daily decisions impact your overall health. Pause and reflect on what choices are best for your wellbeing.
Treat yourself to a massage. It can help reduce stress and promote overall health.
