Congratulations Furby, on being selected as a Strong National Museum Toy Hall of Fame Finalist! The official inductees will be selected and announced in November.
Furby - the lovable, fuzzy creature, debuted in 1998. It featured innovative technology, including adaptive language learning (pre-programmed) and sensors. More than 40 million Furbies sold within the first three years of production. It was reintroduced to a new generation of kids in 2023 with enhancements. For more than 25 years, Furby has encouraged interactive, imaginative play, and demonstrated the capabilities of sophisticated technology.
The National Toy Hall of Fame at The Strong, established in 1998, recognizes toys that have inspired creative play and enjoyed popularity over a sustained period. Each year, the prestigious hall inducts new honorees and showcases both new and historic versions of classic toys beloved by generations.
The Mary Therese Friel Modeling Agency produced this amazing show featuring their Models and Furbies, styled in complimenting looks. The show was produced in partnership with the The Strong Museum.
