This was my second visit, and unfortunately, both experiences fell short of expectations. As a local, I want to support a local business, so I chose to return after my first visit, hoping the issue would be resolved. However, the same concern remained: loud music from the Noodle place next door was competing with the spa’s music. During my massage, the noise was distracting enough that my massage therapist needed to pause the session and leave the room to ask for the volume to be turned down.
In addition to the lack of a serene environment, the arrival and welcome felt impersonal. I was escorted back with my jacket and winter boots into a room next to a guest who was already relaxing in a robe, handed a gym bag, and shown the sauna and spa area to change. I was not shown how the lockers worked or even walked into the room. Just pointed to it. I was asked whether I wanted to use the spa facilities, and when I inquired if they were included, I was told yes, with a reminder to limit my time to two hours. Overall, it did not feel especially welcoming, which was disappointing. Some of the best part of a spa experience is a serene environment, and this was lacking.
Lastly, upon checkout, I was not asked about my experience and was simply asked my name and told the total owed. I would have appreciated the opportunity to share this feedback in person, as I genuinely wanted to support and enjoy the experience.
