My mom and I came here in December 2025 for a couples massage for her birthday and we had a fabulous time. The facilities are very well designed and relaxing, with dark blue walls and beautiful light wood furniture. We hung out in the hottub and infrared sauna for a while before our massage. Both were great and the hottub has a big screen displaying nature scenes which adds to the ambiance. The jets are also great, some with double sprays to get upper and lower back! Then, our massage was hands down one of the best massages we've had. We had Kate and Sierra and would highly recommend them. We get regular massages and they don't always hit target areas and sometimes have lots of "wasted" time, and this was not the case here. We both enjoyed the entire massage and felt like they were very attentive to our target areas, which was so lovely after being sore from multiple days of skiing. Overall, we would highly recommend Martis Valley Spa!

I have been coming to Martis Valley Massage since the beginning and have always had wonderful experiences. I have had many different masseuses over the years and all are good with a wide variety of knowledge and techniques. Now with the addition of all the spa amenities it can't be beat. The thermal jacuzzi is absolutely gorgeous. Relax in the tub while enjoying the scenes of Tahoe. Patricia (Annie) and Lloyd have continued their impeccable design work and incorporated it into every aspect of the spa. There truly is nothing around like it and a great addition to the area.

I had the most incredible experience at Martis Valley Skincare, and I can’t recommend it enough! My nail tech was absolutely wonderful—professional, kind, and incredibly skilled. I treated myself to their luxurious CBD hand manicure, and it was pure bliss from start to finish. I love that they’ve expanded their services and are now Truckee’s very first non-toxic nail salon! It’s so important to me that the products used are vegan, cruelty-free, benzo-free, glitter-free, nano-particle free, and completely non-toxic—and this salon truly delivers on all of that without compromising on quality or style. The salon itself is cozy, modern, and beautifully designed, making it the perfect spot for a quick refresh or full pampering session. I also had the chance to enjoy their spa amenities and red light sauna, which made the experience even more special. The cozy robes, spotless and stylish bathroom, and warm, attentive staff made me feel completely relaxed and cared for. If you’re looking for a high-end, healthy, and rejuvenating nail and spa experience in Truckee—this is the place!

My massage by Orahava was disappointing and strange. I got the ashiatsu since I battle chronic pain and have been getting deep tissue massages. This massage started a little late and ended a little early and felt rushed through out. Pressure was mostly good but not long enough in places I needed the most, as expressed. I could tell she had a set approach and wanted to stick to it which is counterintuitive when you make a client fill out a form and then also ask them verbally before the massage begins. When she wanted to spend the “last 7 minutes” on the front of my legs I asked her to just do my feet. She put on what felt like plastic gloves to rub my feet and then couldn’t offer much pressure due to shoulder injury. Such a weird texture and mood to end my massage. Speaking of texture, the sheets are kind of cheap cotton feeling more like a table cloth. Also some very odd things that I hadn’t encountered during a massage before - gloves to rub my feet, upselling when the massage already began, she talked quite a bit, kept the lights on until I turned on my back, she was wearing an earbud and I could hear the podcast playing when I turned on my back - this is very distracting not just for the client but for the therapist’s ability to be tuned into the client and their body. With a massage like this, it can add more stress and frustration to the point that I wish I didn’t get one and had stuck to self- massage like I often do. While I tried to remain relaxed and enjoy what I could, I wouldn’t go again or recommend. The three stars are for the spa in general. Beautiful setting and nice amenities. I wish I enjoyed them longer but after my massage, I just wanted to get out of there. The lady at checkout was very attentive and compassionate in a way I wish the therapist had been. She offered a discounted rate when I shared that my massage time was not the full amount and it was more direct than tailored. She went on to recommend a few others in case I return. Final recommendations: -don’t upsell. Period. -please give buffer time in the massage if you’re running late changing sheets, going to discuss needs, and try to upsell add ons - this should not be on client’s time -please be fully attentive with clients. I understand this can be monotonous for some but the client is paying for a custom service. Their body is in pain or tense and they’re seeking support and relief. Tuning into them helps understand and offer support accordingly. It is always a chance for the practitioner to learn more, especially in the subtle tuning in to others. -please elevate to Egyptian cotton sheets so the entire experience reflects the value. $160 is the most I’ve ever paid for a 60 minute massage and I never commented on the sheets before.

Martis Valley Massage is a really special place. The facilities are spotless and calming, and the whole setup feels like a mini retreat. The cold plunge, sauna, hot tub, and tea bar all add so much to the experience. it’s hard not to relax the second you walk in. It was my birthday, and all my friends had booked massages too, so I was especially looking forward to mine. My original therapist couldn’t make it due to unforeseen circumstances, and while the staff did a great job accommodating me with someone else, the style of the massage just wasn’t what I personally enjoy. Because it was a special day and everyone else loved their massages, I’ll admit there was an extra layer of disappointment on my end. That said, I can still see how the style I received could be great for someone with different preferences. Even so, the overall visit was refreshing, and the atmosphere and care they put into the space really stand out. Despite the hiccup, it still felt like a five-star experience.

I went to get a pedicure/manicure and it was a wonderful experience. The nail side of the spa (heard its new) is clean, fresh, and they use all organic natural products. I had Christie and she did a great job and a great massage! will be back

I had a fantastic hydra facial with Emma. I took advantage of the immersive hot tube, cold dunk, and infra red was my favorite. Amazing “waters of Tahoe” room. Staff was friendly, conscious and welcoming. I booked another next month. and taking a guest there this week for the spa. Going again says more than words ..it’s a healing experience. ❤️✅

This was my second visit, and unfortunately, both experiences fell short of expectations. As a local, I want to support a local business, so I chose to return after my first visit, hoping the issue would be resolved. However, the same concern remained: loud music from the Noodle place next door was competing with the spa’s music. During my massage, the noise was distracting enough that my massage therapist needed to pause the session and leave the room to ask for the volume to be turned down. In addition to the lack of a serene environment, the arrival and welcome felt impersonal. I was escorted back with my jacket and winter boots into a room next to a guest who was already relaxing in a robe, handed a gym bag, and shown the sauna and spa area to change. I was not shown how the lockers worked or even walked into the room. Just pointed to it. I was asked whether I wanted to use the spa facilities, and when I inquired if they were included, I was told yes, with a reminder to limit my time to two hours. Overall, it did not feel especially welcoming, which was disappointing. Some of the best part of a spa experience is a serene environment, and this was lacking. Lastly, upon checkout, I was not asked about my experience and was simply asked my name and told the total owed. I would have appreciated the opportunity to share this feedback in person, as I genuinely wanted to support and enjoy the experience.

I absolutely love Martis Valley Massage in Truckee!! I’ve been coming here for their incredible massages for a while, and now that they offer non-toxic nail services, it’s truly the best self-care spot in town. The massage therapists are so skilled and always help melt away my stress, and the new manicure and pedicure options are amazing, clean, relaxing, and long-lasting without any harsh chemicals. Not to mention the hot tub, sauna, and cold plunge. Seriously. the best place in town It’s so nice to have a massage studio and nail spa in one place that focuses on health, relaxation, and high-quality care. If you’re looking for a non-toxic nail salon or a massage in Truckee, I highly recommend Martis Valley Massage!!
