We were so impressed with the Martinez Brothers. They were very knowledgeable, careful, and cleaned up after themselves leaving our yard looking better than before they started. We got quotes from a couple people and they seemed to have the most logical plan to fix our drainage issues and also were very reasonably priced. They seem to really take pride in their work and do a really nice job of dotting their “i”s and crossing their “t”s, fixing all the little details at the end! We highly recommend them!!

I hired them to do aeration and leveling of a Bermuda lawn. The top dress was to be a topsoil and sand mixture. After they applied the top dress many large clumps were left in the yard and was not raked in properly for leveling. I contacted the owner and he finally got his guys to knock back many of the clumps and he actually came out to help the guys rake it in better. I will wait for the next few days to see how it goes but the top dressing used was 70% compost and 30% sand, not the soil/sand as stated in estimate. It was very clumpy and afterward I found plastics and other large sticks etc in the top dressing. I will have to go out and do some of my own raking to break up larger clumps still left behind and hopefully dispersing more of the top dressing. Responsiveness is very good but overall not thrilled with what they used as a top dress. It is smelly compost and seems to have little if any sand in it. Many large pieces of wood are also present in the compost and a lot of smaller pieces of wood. They did do a nice job cutting down the grass to a lower height and aerated afterward, they seemed to want to aerate after putting down the top dressing versus before which seems very odd but was able to get them to aerate before putting down the top dressing. I felt I had to supervise the activities to ensure done right. First photo is how they wanted to leave it second is after they raked it out better.
