LG Gas Dryer — No Heat, Burning Smell and Drum Roller Replacement
Service visit in Otay Ranch, Chula Vista, CA
The customer contacted us because her LG gas dryer was not heating properly and there was a strong burning smell coming from the unit during operation. She also noticed that the dryer was making unusual noise and taking much longer than normal to dry clothes.
After arriving at the home in the Otay Ranch area of Chula Vista, our technician performed a full diagnostic inspection of the LG dryer. We quickly identified multiple issues. The dryer had overheating problems caused by heavy lint buildup inside the dryer housing and vent system. In addition, the drum support rollers were worn out and damaged, which caused the drum to move improperly and create noise during operation.
Our technician carefully disassembled the LG dryer, replaced the broken drum rollers, cleaned the entire dryer system, and performed a complete internal dryer cleaning to remove lint and debris from the burner assembly, blower housing, and airflow system. This service helped restore proper airflow and eliminate the overheating and burning smell.
After completing the repair and maintenance, the LG dryer started heating normally again and is now operating safely and efficiently.
