Commercial Ice Maker Repair in Imperial Beach, CA – Near the Bay
Today we serviced a commercial ice maker at a café in Imperial Beach near the bay after the customer reported that the machine stopped producing ice correctly. The system was running, but the ice was not forming and releasing as designed because it was not attaching properly to the evaporator plate.
After a full diagnosis of the refrigeration system, we found the unit was operating with a low refrigerant charge, which reduced cooling performance and prevented normal ice production. To keep the business operating, we performed a temporary refrigerant recharge and restored cooling performance so the machine could continue working.
We explained to the customer that this is only a temporary solution and scheduled a return visit for Saturday to complete the repair. During the next visit we will install a service valve, perform full sealed system diagnostics, check pressures and temperatures, inspect for leaks, and clean the internal ice maker system using a professional ice machine cleaning solution to remove buildup and improve performance.
