Completed a cold plunge freezer diagnostic and cooling system service in Carmel Valley, San Diego.
The customer uses this converted freezer as an ice bath system for recovery and cold water therapy. The unit is filled with water and cooled to maintain low temperatures for cold plunge sessions. Recently, the system stopped cooling and water temperature could no longer reach the target level.
We performed a full diagnostic of the refrigeration and control system, checking compressor operation, temperature controls, cooling performance, and the inverter system.
Testing showed that the inverter board had failed and was preventing normal compressor operation. Using specialized diagnostic equipment, we temporarily started the mechanical compressor to verify the refrigeration system.
The compressor and sealed system responded normally and cooling was restored during testing. We recommended replacing the inverter board for a permanent repair solution. The customer decided to consider the repair options before ordering the part.
