Gas Range Repair — FORNO Gas Range in Del Mar, CA
The customer contacted us because five top burners on the FORNO gas range were not working. None of the burners were igniting, and the range could not be used safely.
During the service visit to a home in the Del Mar area, our technician performed a detailed inspection and quickly found the cause. The ignition wires that supply power to the igniters had become dry and cracked over time. The damaged wires were touching the metal body of the range, causing the electrical spark to discharge to the metal instead of the burners. As a result, all five burners stopped working at the same time.
We carefully repaired the wiring by wrapping the damaged sections with professional high-temperature electrical tape and properly insulating the wires. After completing the repair, we tested the unit, and all five burners started working normally again.
We also noticed that the oven bake burner was not heating evenly. Only one side of the burner was igniting because some of the gas ports were clogged. We cleaned the burner openings, restored proper gas flow, and the oven began heating correctly.
The repair was completed on the same visit, and the appliance was fully restored.
