Wolf Range Repair — Igniter Replacement

A customer in Encinitas, located right by the ocean, contacted us regarding a Wolf range where one of the burners was not igniting. The rest of the burners were working properly, but one burner had no consistent spark and would not light.
During the diagnostic, we disassembled the burner assembly and found that the igniter was heavily corroded due to constant exposure to coastal moisture and salty air. The ceramic body of the igniter was cracked, and the spark was going to the side instead of the correct ignition point. This is a very common issue in homes near the ocean.
Because of this failure, the burner could not ignite safely or consistently. We recommended replacing the igniter with a new OEM part to restore proper performance.
