Completed a Thermador built-in microwave diagnosis in Mission Valley, San Diego.
The customer reported two main issues: the microwave stopped heating completely and produced a very loud humming noise every time it was started. After disassembling the unit and performing a full high-voltage system inspection, we identified the source of the problem — a failed magnetron.
During diagnostics, we also discovered that the microwave had been repaired previously and a non-OEM LG magnetron had been installed instead of the original Thermador component. Using non-original parts can lead to poor performance, excessive noise, and heating failures over time.
After confirming the failure, we ordered a genuine OEM Thermador magnetron to restore proper operation and reliability. The part is currently on order with an estimated lead time of approximately two weeks. Once it arrives, we’ll complete the installation, run full operational testing, and verify proper heating performance across all functions.
