Oven Repair Service — THOR Gas Range in Encinitas, CA
The customer contacted us because their THOR oven had an old, worn door gasket and unstable temperature. The door was closing, but the gasket no longer sealed properly, allowing heat to escape.
During the service visit in Encinitas, CA, our technician confirmed that the original THOR oven door gasket is no longer available. To solve this correctly, we ordered a custom stock gasket for this specific oven.
We also noticed the range was installed too close to the cabinets. The appliance was touching the furniture, which is not proper fire safety. We carefully moved the THOR range forward about 2 inches to create safe clearance.
For the temperature issue, we tested the oven with a professional thermometer, reset the control board, and replaced the temperature sensor as a preventive repair. The customer was happy and is waiting for our next visit to install the new gasket.
