I had such a beautiful experience here. The service was exceptional — truly some of the most caring hospitality I’ve seen at a restaurant. The owners personally walk around the dining room and interact with the guests, asking how you feel about the food and making sure everything is perfect. You can immediately tell that they genuinely care about every person who walks through the door. What stood out to me the most is how attentive and kind the owners and waiters are. If they sense that you might not be completely happy with your dish, they will kindly offer to remake it for you. It’s not done in an annoying or pushy way at all — it’s gentle, sincere, and comes from a place of real care. They truly want you to enjoy your meal. The atmosphere is also something special. It feels loving, homely, and honestly very blessed. There’s a warmth in the space that makes you feel comfortable the moment you sit down. It doesn’t feel like just another restaurant — it feels like a place run with heart. You can clearly see that the owners love their business and take pride in what they do. Their attention to detail, kindness toward guests, and passion for hospitality make this place stand out. God bless them for the love they put into serving their community. I will absolutely be coming back with many more guest.

This is my second time at this place and it is absolutely amazing, and the atmosphere is also quite charming. The food is authentic and the employees are super friendly. Our server, Bri, was super nice and attentive. She was very knowledgeable with everything on the menu and gave us some good recommendations on the appetizers and desserts. I already knew what I wanted for the meal because I had it last time, it was so good I wanted to order it again. I am looking forward to coming back again for the food and great dining experience.

Atmosphere was great, Christmas deco was outstanding. Owner or manager was fantastically friendly and was giving off a family vibe. Made us feel welcome. He checked on us through the night even with a packed house. He was adamant if we didn't like anything he would make it right. Food was good and the cheese dripping onto the entree was a great touch! Waiter was friendly and kept checking to see if we were good. For a fairly new place they have the customer service down pat. We will definitely be back and enjoy this great place again.

Didn’t know what to expect when I got here but it totally exceeded my expectations! I do wish the place was bigger because our table was in a corner where we had little room to get in and out. But food was a 10 out of 10. My spicy rigatoni was the best I’ve tasted as was my husbands Parmigiana and please don’t get me started on that calamari. Super hot and fresh! The service was fantastic for it being so crowded. The owner Prince came to our table twice checking on us and making sure everything was good. Even saw him carrying wine samples to customers who were outside waiting. I will definitely be back

We came in for lunch after work with a group of six and the experience truly exceeded our expectations. Our waiter Bin was absolutely amazing. He was attentive, kind, and genuinely engaging. Our drinks were always filled and the service felt effortless and thoughtful. The food was incredible from appetizer to entrée to dessert. Everything was delicious. The atmosphere was just as memorable and the Valentine decorations were such a beautiful touch that made the space feel warm and inviting. Every staff member we interacted with was friendly and welcoming. We also had the pleasure of meeting the owner and the chef, who were both so kind and genuine. You can truly feel the care and passion behind the food and the service. Everyone in our group was so impressed and we cannot wait to come back and bring the whole family.

From the moment we walked into Mare e Monte, we felt welcomed. We were greeted by the owner himself with “welcome home,” which perfectly describes the entire experience. Every employee acknowledged us, and the restaurant was beautifully decorated for Valentine’s Day. Our server, Ben, was kind, attentive, and genuinely personable not transactional at all. The owner even stopped by our table to just talk to us about the story and even shared that their 600-sq-ft kitchen means everything is made fresh daily, and you can truly taste the difference. The bread and olive oil were incredible, best we’ve ever had and every plate was a 10/10. Dessert was made in-house Biscoff cheesecake and blueberry cheesecake with blueberries from Maine both amazing. Knowing the owner is from Albania just added to the authenticity and heart behind the food. This isn’t just a restaurant it’s an experience. We’ll definitely be back. ❤️🍝

Mare E Monte Italian Restaurant is, without question, the best Italian restaurant in San Antonio. From the moment you walk in, you’re welcomed by a warm, cozy, and inviting atmosphere paired with impeccable service and truly exceptional Italian cuisine. We’ve dined at many Italian restaurants across Texas, but Mare E Monte stands in a league of its own. I ordered the Pasta al Nero, and it was phenomenal—perfectly cooked pasta enveloped in a rich, savory sauce infused with deep seafood flavor, bold yet beautifully balanced. Easily one of the best pasta dishes I’ve ever had. My wife enjoyed the Pollo alla Piccata, which was tender, flavorful, and expertly prepared, with a bright, lemony caper sauce that was both comforting and elegant. Both dishes were outstanding and paired wonderfully with their excellent and thoughtfully curated wine selection. For dessert, we shared the biscotti cheesecake, and it was nothing short of amazing—creamy, indulgent, and perfectly complemented by the subtle crunch and flavor of biscotti. A flawless ending to an incredible meal. Our server, Nadia, was absolutely amazing. She was warm, friendly, attentive, and extremely knowledgeable about the menu. Her kindness and professionalism elevated the entire dining experience and made us feel genuinely welcome. We love this restaurant and highly recommend it to anyone who appreciates world-class Italian cuisine and top-tier service. We will definitely be back

This was our first time dining at this location and WoW what a Gem the service was excellent and the food tasted delicious, our server Briiiiiii took great care of us the food came out pretty fast the ambiance was very nice and I have to say the decorations for Valentine's day added a special feel to the experience. I got to meet Ben one of the managers and he was very warm and welcoming. We literally walked into this restaurant without ever knowing or hearing about it and we are so glad we found it, it's a hidden gem! The lamb chops where cooked to perfection and my wife had the chicken picatta and she loved it. All the staff here where very attentive they where literally standing by waiting to serve everyone but not in an intrusive manner. We definitely enjoyed our dining experience here we will be back again and we highly recommend them we will tell all our friends about them. On our next visit I will post more pictures of their delicious food.

We weren't even hungry and we had one of our best dining experiences of the past three years. It was our 3rd anniversary and we came here on the advice of a friend... and what good advice it was! We started with stracciatella al fuoco, which was fantastic. My wife had the sole, I had lamb chops, and for both of us, the selections were the best we've had of these dishes (in her words, she didn't think fish could taste this good). We finished with tiramisu that was out of this world. Truly one of the best, if not THE best, Italian restaurants available in San Antonio. The restaurant itself was cute, and our server (Fati) was extremely attentive, even to bringing my wife warm wine (she has a tooth sensitivity this weekend) which, to use her words, was excellent.

We decided to try Mare E Monte for our anniversary and we were pleasantly surprised! The food was delicious — the calamari was a standout, and the fettuccine was unique but so flavorful. My husband ordered the Pork Chop de Rome, and it was unlike anything we’ve had before — absolutely delicious. The atmosphere was cute and had the perfect romantic, Valentine’s vibe, and the service was excellent. The staff was attentive and truly on top of their game. Highly recommend if you’re looking to try something new!
