Have to come back for a proper meal, but the wine and snacks we enjoyed were good. The space is really fantastic. See you soon
UPDATE: we came back for a quick intimate Xmas dinner date, before we’d go to a larger Xmas group dinner after. Unfortunately my visit for a proper meal revealed a lot of shortcomings. Every few minutes, you could hear the advertisement of whatever music service the restaurant is using without subscription… what an absolute mood killer. You could tell someone was there pressing “skip” on the ads which were cut short. If you can pay for someone to do that Im sure you can afford a Spotify subscription. Beyond that the playlist is really random with absolutely no coherence (Xmas dinner ranged from reggaeton to pop to 1 frank sinatra song), and music curation is key to set ambience. It was also unnecessarily loud. Then our dinner (well the whole restaurant) was interrupted by 3 birthdays which were celebrated by clapping staff choosing and waving flashing lights, shutting the music down to play birthday themed songs like we were in a children’s Disneyland fast food restaurant. The menu was full of spelling mistakes. The “tagliata di manzo” was a few millimetres from being a carpaccio, and I’m inclined to say the truffle ravioli use aromatics rather than truffle. Food was overall tasty, but was missing a little soul. Altogether everything made the venue very gimmicky and inconsistent, which is a shame due to the great space and view, Presenting a broad lack of care and attention to detail - note however that the staff is very polite and professional, this is rather a criticism of the management of the venue and/or lack of quality driven experience provision and care from ownership. We had a good time, and we were well served, but the level of experience can be SO much higher, I hope it improves, the space and the staff (and Italian cuisine) deserve it.
