After my 2nd re-inspection, with the faults already fixed, I was suddenly told I needed an LK1 engineer form. I was told DOT required it. To be sure, I went to the DOT inspection centre in Kelmscott. The supervisor there checked the vehicle and confirmed there was no need for an LK1 form at all. The real problem was that Malaga inspectors never read the Compliance Plate, which clearly states the vehicle is a 5-seater. Instead, they assumed it was a 2-seater and failed it again. Reading a compliance plate is literally their job, and they didn’t do it. Instead of admitting a mistake, I was argued with and DOT was blamed. It’s sad to see other people having the same experience, and the replies to reviews speak for themselves. I highly recommend avoiding Malaga pit inspections. They will waste your time and money.

Worst inspection place I’ve ever had to deal with. I had PAID for a simple modification permit to be completed on my car, for intercooler, exhaust and coilovers. They said yep all done, but never sent me the completed permit via email like they said they would. You try and ring them and ask for it they say NO we don’t have it it’s all with DOT. You ring DOT they know nothing about it. Complete and utter waste of time and money.

I had a terrible experience with Malaga Pit Inspections. Despite advertising themselves as an “authorised inspection station”, their service was shockingly poor. They couldn’t even locate the engine number of the vehicle — something that any competent inspector should be able to do easily. The staff seemed disinterested, disorganised, and unhelpful throughout the process. I expected a professional and thorough inspection, but instead I left feeling frustrated and completely let down. Would not recommend them to anyone needing a reliable or professional inspection. There are far better and more competent services elsewhere in Perth.

Makes you wait more than 4hrs. I recommend not a good place for any kind of inspection.
