After my 2nd re-inspection, with the faults already fixed, I was suddenly told I needed an LK1 engineer form. I was told DOT required it.
To be sure, I went to the DOT inspection centre in Kelmscott. The supervisor there checked the vehicle and confirmed there was no need for an LK1 form at all.
The real problem was that Malaga inspectors never read the Compliance Plate, which clearly states the vehicle is a 5-seater. Instead, they assumed it was a 2-seater and failed it again.
Reading a compliance plate is literally their job, and they didn’t do it. Instead of admitting a mistake, I was argued with and DOT was blamed.
It’s sad to see other people having the same experience, and the replies to reviews speak for themselves.
I highly recommend avoiding Malaga pit inspections. They will waste your time and money.
