Mal Wright (also known as CTP Inspections) were thorough, timely and trustworthy - would recommend them and would not hesitate using them again for a building and pest inspection. They delivered the incredibly detailed report promptly on the day the inspection was completed. Tess, Craig and Steve were more than happy to help guide me through the process and answer any questions, even when I called at 7am!

I highly recommend Mal Wright Pest and Building Inspections to anyone out there requiring such services. Mal promptly arranged our inspection and we received both reports the following morning upon completion. I've found purchasing your first home exciting but an also daunting experience as I didn't really know what to look out for and although Mal's reports are incredibly thorough for both building and pest aspects, they are easy to understand giving you reassurance and peace of mind. Believe it when you read on his website that he is known as Mr Pedantic but that is 110% what you want when investing your hard earned money. We're glad we had Mal complete the job and again, will be sure to recommend him to others and use again ourselves when the time comes!

Mal undertook a very thorough inspection of what at face value appeared to be a +$1M terrace house in very good condition. His persistence and diligence meant that he identified some major issues (water pooling, timber borer, rising damp etc) under the house. This area was extremely difficult to access (other inspectors would not have gone there), but this was no barrier to Mal. His report gave me the information that I needed to negotiate a significant discount on the already agreed purchase price (we were in the cooling off period). I will use Mal for our next acquisition and would recommend him to you. A good measure of an adviser is how much value they add; Mal's report paid for itself at least 20 times over.
