Ayurvedic Tips for Healthy Navratri Fasting
Fasting this Navratri?
Ayurveda says a fast should leave you feeling light and not drained. Here is how to keep your energy steady all nine days:
Start the day with warm water, and sip coconut water to stay hydrated.
Choose roasted makhana and rajgira over fried sabudana vadas and chips.
Eat kuttu and singhara atta in moderate portions. They are heavy to digest.
Add a pinch of jeera or dried ginger to meals to support digestion.
Break your fast gently with a light, warm meal and avoid an immediate shift to heavy meals.
If you have diabetes, heart disease, or BP issues, or you take regular medicines.
Speak to a doctor before you fast.
Wishing you a healthy and joyful Navratri!
