Macfie Architecture

Michael, Maddy, Rebecca and the team at Macfie Architecture were absolutely fantastic to work with. We previously had drawings done by two separate building companies that just didn’t get us. We were then recommended Michael by a friend. We took some sketches that we had done and our wish list to a briefing with Michael. A couple of weeks later Michael sent through his concept drawings. They were completely different to what we had envisaged. The design was contemporary and attractive. Michael had nailed it after just one meeting! Michael and Maddy were extremely patient as the process took a long time from getting the resource consent to the build. Our builder and engineer also loved working with them as they always made themselves available for any queries or alterations that needed to be done. Our builder said that the building plans were very detailed and easy to work off. Michael and Maddy had fantastic ideas. Examples being, an internal insitu coloured concrete wall, (which gave our builder a few sleepless nights, but it turned out beautifully and is a real centrepiece of our home) and a floating staircase. Macfie Architecture made their part of the build process very easy and enjoyable. We were confident that if we had any questions or needed any amendments that they would be dealt with quickly and they never delayed our build. We are absolutely thrilled with the way our home has evolved, and it is with huge thanks to Michael, Maddy and the entire Macfie Team for creating such a stunning design. Working with Michael and his team was an absolute pleasure. He understood our vision and suggested things things we hadn't considered that definitely enhanced our home design.
