I found him through Craigslist after my Ford Fiesta was damaged in a hit-and-run. I contacted him, shared photos of the damage, and he came for the second inspection an in-person. He quoted me $3,500 for the complete repair, and we agreed on that amount with an estimated completion time of about a week. (I trusted him because of other people's good reviews)
However, two days later he informed me that he couldn’t finish the job because part of the body frame required cutting and he didn’t have the proper equipment at home. He said he would need to take the car to an actual body shop and demanded more money. I reminded him of our original agreement, but after some discussion, I offered an additional $500 just to move things forward.
Unfortunately, even after the extra payment and a full week, the work was not completed properly. When I picked up my car, I noticed the repair quality was very poor, and the car was returned dirty both inside and out. For someone who claimed to have over 20 years of experience, I expected a much more professional result and better communication throughout the process.
Overall, I was very disappointed with the service, the broken agreement, and the lack of attention to detail. This experience was extremely disappointing and unprofessional. I strongly advise others to avoid this repairman and go with a certified, reputable auto body shop instead.
