Dr. Tavana and his staff were cheerful and upbeat - and patient while my ring needed to be removed. In fact it took longer to cut my wedding band than the procedure took. Everyone was kind, respectful and friendly. I was very pleased with my entire experience.

I'm incredibly thankful to have met Dr. Tavana and for the excellent care he provided. After a negative experience with another physician, I was so pleased to find a provider who is highly skilled in treating upper extremity issues with superb bedside manner. I was also impressed with the staff at each of the facilities in which I had appointments (N. CHS, Rutledge & W. Ashley). I recommend Dr. Tavana without any hesitation.

After having other docs look at me like a specimen, I was blessed to meet Dr. Tavana. His professionalism and skill are well known. As much as his ability is of the utmost importance, after being examined like a specimen and talked About to med students like I wasn't even in the room by other doctors, his demeanor is also important. His bedside manner, kindness and true compassion is a blessing. During a long and complicated healing process due to my other health issues, he was there every step of the way doing everything to make sure things were easier for me. Alot of doctors don't know how to react when a patient cries, Dr. Tavana held my hand listening. That meant the world to me. His staff is fantastic and I have never had any issues.

Dr Tavana helped my children when no one else could! He is an Amazingly talented surgeon! Great manners, awesome with children, a very likable guy. If you want the best results you go to the best surgeon and Dr. Tavana is definatly the BEST!

Dr. Tavana has excellent skills, is personable and available to treat his patients. I am thankful MUSC has a surgeon of his abilities to both education future hand surgeons and to treat current patients.

I highly recommend Dr. Tavana. He is absolutely brilliant and he will figure out your issues right out of the gate. And I would recommend a visit to him if you have a diagnosis that you are not comfortable with. I disagree with the post about it being all about the money. I had a very different experience and I appreciated his ability to quickly diagnose my issues after my PCP gave me news that I could not accept which ended up being completely wrong. Dr. Tavana gave me options and ultimately solved the pain issues and use of my hands again.

Dr. Tavana is wonderful. Plain and simple. Staff are clearly happy to work with him and that says a lot.
