Responsive. Professional. Knowledgeable. Courteous. These words come to mind immediately but seem to fall short of capturing my recent experience with Nick. After installing a ceiling/light combo unit myself, I had concerns about the quality of my own YouTube-taught, non-professional install job, and didn't want to risk the lives of my family due to over-confidence or ignorance. A neighbor had provided me a number for a Low Voltage Specialist and lo and behold, it was for Nick. I called and he made room in his schedule in the same day. Mind you, this was at the end of his work day and so I was immediately grateful, because many contractors would typically push it out. Nick arrived on time, and even texted prior to showing up so I would be ready. After a brief exchange of niceties, he asked all the right questions and got to work, reverse engineering what I had done to ensure it was accurate. He made suggestions on the wiring, the best brand of wire connectors, the parts in my home, and even provided insight on the fan/light device I installed. His intent was to provide education and he did so without condescension or arrogance. It was clear his expertise was fueled by a very genuine passion for the science and technology and practical application of electrical work. Within an hour, he had replaced the cheap connectors I had used with a more reliable product, reorganized the bundles I had crammed into the box, and tested the products and switches. He brought peace of mind and security and did so in a personable and trustworthy manner. That is priceless service that is severely lacking these days in an oversaturated market, and I will always prioritize that over anything else.
