Back in December, we bought a yellow-sided green cheek conure, and she is just perfect. From the very beginning, Louis took the time to help us get everything we needed — the right cage, food, and some much-needed knowledge — so we felt confident and excited heading home with our new bird. A few months later, we decided we wanted to add another conure to our family. We checked out other bird stores again, but honestly, nothing compared. We found ourselves right back at Louis’ Bird Store, and I’m so glad we did. Louis gave us an incredible deal on the most lovely moon cheek conure, and the whole experience once again felt welcoming, honest, and stress-free. You can tell Louis truly cares about his birds and the people buying them. We wouldn’t go anywhere else. Thank you again, Louis — we’ll definitely be back! 🦜💚

When we first walked in to buy the bird, this guy acted like my kid was his long-lost best friend. So warm. So friendly. So helpful. Honestly, an Oscar-worthy performance. Anything to get a child excited enough to hand over $1,200, right? But the second my kid wanted to return the bird? Wow. The mask came off FAST. He suddenly turned into a completely different person — yelling at a child, repeating “No refunds, no exchanges” like it was some kind of sacred scripture. He even pointed at his little sign like it was the Constitution. The attitude was so nasty he might as well have said, “Get out of my store.” Do yourself a favor and stay far, FAR away from this place. Our $1,200 bird lasted one month. One. At that point we might as well have just set the cash on fire — at least that would’ve lasted longer.

Came with my wife and 2 kids to get a bird for our little girl 4.5 yrs. Luis was incredibly nice and knowledgeable. He constantly cleaned everything and was super careful for his birds. It is obvious to see that he cares a lot for his little baby’s and overall we had a great experience making our first bird purchase. We highly recommend Luis for any bird lovers. Thank you Luis our daughter is thrilled!

The owner genuinely cares about every feathered friend in the store, ensuring that all the birds are in excellent health and spirits. If you’re looking for a parrot, parakeet, pigeon, or any other small bird, you’ve come to the right place to begin your journey. In addition to birds, you’ll find a variety of accessories designed with care, including cozy cages, nutritious bird food, and stands that allow you to play with your feathered companions when they come out of their cages. It's the best place for your avian friends!

Initially, when we arrived into the store, my girlfriend was a little concerned by how the birds were kept. She was concerned about the care in which the birds were in but after talking to the owner of the store, our worries were abated. He knows his craft and the birds all seemed very healthy with shiny feathers and them being very active. While the price is a little high, you get what you pay for and I purchased a conure that is friendly and doesn’t bite. The owner is definitely direct and can come off very intimidating but he loves these birds and wants them to go to good homes.

I purchased two birds (a male and a female) from this shop a few years ago and never left a review at the time. Looking back, I regret buying from here. There were several red flags: 1. the lovebirds were overcrowded in a single cage. They were a lot of the lovebirds in one cage. 2. The seller misrepresented the birds’ ages, telling us they were babies when they were not. We wanted baby love birds. 3. Over time, we discovered signs of poor treatment and neglect. One of the birds (the male) has clear health issues and has always been fearful of human interaction, as if it had been mishandled or abused in the past. Worst of it, the male bird showed signs of illness after receiving the bird. It was so scared of human or stressed to the point it started peaking its chest. Even years later, he panics whenever someone comes near, which makes training and bonding impossible. We specifically wanted young birds, but the seller’s claim that they were babies turned out to be false. It feels dishonest and misleading. That said, we are committed to giving our birds the best care possible for the rest of their lives. We are animal lovers (currently own 2 dogs) and we have owned several pets in the past. I see another negative comment about the birds being sick. I am not surprised at all. I believe we purchased one of the sick birds without knowing. It’s clearly something is wrong. I don’t think this is the right. I wasn’t planning on leaving a review at all until I was looking around on Google map. I need to voice my experience. I do not recommend this shop. Do your research before buying birds here.

Found our dream bird here. From tiny rare finches to majestic macaws, the selection here is truly breathtaking. Louis is knowledgeable, patient, and truly passionate about his bird babies. He made the perfect match for us and has since helped us many times over the last two months. Our nanday's healthy, playful, and beyond loved. I am quite literally sickened by what I saw in this store. I am not a bird snob. I am all for birds being accessible. But the conditions these birds are living in are absolutely abusive and abhorrent. I couldn’t even go in there to buy my bird a toy because I felt sick to my stomach supporting such a business. I heard the owner say “no photos” (likely because it’s so abusive and he knows it) as well as he asked a customer if they want a bird who “has color, or a bird who bites” this is an extreme red flag for anyone who knows literally anything about birds. I took some photos to show just how awful it is. He even seemed to have just clipped a macaws feathers off and left them on the floor in the store. Do not go here.

I came in a couple of weeks ago with my mom and husband looking to purchase two canaries for my mom. Louis was very kind and informative about what to feed the canaries as well as how to properly care for them. We purchased a white one and a yellow one, and he picked a nice, bright yellow one for my mom. My mom has been very happy with her new birds. She's 95 years old and says she's so happy with her canaries. I would definitely recommend this shop for anyone looking to purchase a bird as he has so many different beautiful birds and you can tell he really cares a lot about each and every one and really wants them all to go to good homes.

I visited the shop with interest in getting my first hand-tamed baby cockatiel. This store had many to choose from and I decided on one who I named Jack. He’s a healthy happy and sweet baby that was eating out of my hand and stepping up consistently after only a few days. Now, I’ve had him a week now and am so happy I went to this store. I plan to go back to get him a friend soon.. If you are looking for a bird or bird supplies, this place had a great selection of both :)
