At the very beginning the company was excellent in telephone calls, on time appointments, surveying, discussing, and had great information. Marcus went out of his way to discuss details of the plat process we were doing and what was required in all aspects. We hit some bumps on the way with our city but he worked through all of them with us and helped in any way he could. Very service oriented and a great company. I would highly recommend them.

Our experience started off great, we got the quote for separating five acres from my family's property to build a house, and I paid. They got us on the books, they came out, and got the survey done. The problems started once I took the survey to get an address in Johnson County. They informed us that we need 150 feet of frontage road so they cannot accept the survey. As Johnson County stated, ”I know Marshall, he should have known”, but we can’t move forward until this is settled. So I contacted Lonestar Survey, informed them of MY error, and wanted to get the survey modified. They gave me the price of 500 dollars, I accepted, and it’s been ghost since then. I keep getting excuses after excuses of why they haven’t gotten around to it, and my calls are getting ignored. I literally had to get my wife’s phone to call them back since they would not answer my calls. I want to be clear, I agreed to pay the extra fee and accept that I should have done my research, but being a survey company, they could have mentioned that to me, and we could have avoided this, but now I have to pay another company to redo the survey. THEY LIKE TO LIE, AND I CANNOT WORK WITH THAT. I’m glad you can reply to this rating but you can never answer the phone or emails, but I digress. I have the emails that I replied to but yet again another lie by Lonestar Land Survey. I never once gave or projected an attitude and recognized my mistake, yet you can’t seem to do the same. This is your profession not mine but I digress. I can post screen shots of everything and prove your lies, but the ball is your court!!

Hired them in 2024 They’re fairly new company Had Marcus come out and said that the fence on the north side of the property was encroaching by 2ft . When Marshal Miller completed the survey it said 1.7 ft. My neighbor had a survey done ( as we ended up having to go to court) and her survey showed a 2ft encroachment. When my attorney reached out to LoneStar about this and a statement , they declined to comment. I sent an email to both Marcus and Marshal about this and never heard back from them. These guys are cocky inexperienced lack communication skills unprofessional attitude. Do not recommend!! My neighbor complained that they trespassed onto her property without permission. They do give out free legal advice lol 😂 If you read the reviews his father is giving them 5 stars Merle W Miller. He owns a survey company but commercial property only. I had to have survey redone and this time I chose a more professional contractor with years of experience and professional service. When asked why I had to redo the survey and by whom was it done , other’s laughed when I mentioned LoneStar. Something this important has to be done by someone who has the ability and knowledge. These guys just started this business because it’s what his father does.

No issues in getting the survey done. Was scheduled within a week and was one time. Our problem began after picking up survey. The county was incorrectly given. Should of said Somervell instead of Johnson. This delayed our build. Had to make another trip to pick up corrected survey. Also no road easement or water easement was shown on survey. Another mistake on their part. They do not answer phone or return calls. We never got an apology for either. Choose someone else.

These guys did a fantastic job. Couldn't recommend them more! Here is photo of one of them getting some topographic data of my pond. Very impressed

Timely and beat every other local surveyor by time and price! Strongly suggest you giving them your business! Update: Had them come out again for new surveys needed and like previously stated they did an amazing job. I still strongly suggest using Lonestar for any survey needs!
