Had an amazing time climbing Kilimanjaro with LocalMoshi. Not only was the team very friendly, the food and service were way beyond our expectations, but they were also very knowledgeable about health and safety risks and handled everything very well when two people got moderate high-altitude sickness. Very professional. Would highly recommend!

Local Moshi is a 5 star operation. We did a mother daughter trip to Kilimanjaro followed by a whirlwind safari. Local Moshi staff was responsive, kind, caring, professional, and entertaining throughout. A local business, part of KPAP, and with prompt and thorough answers to all our general and safety related questions. On the climb we were supported by a team of porters and crew that worked seamlessly together, were endlessly encouraging, and proud to share their culture and country’s spectacular nature. A particular thank you to Eddy, the lead guide (whose wisdom, gentle humour, and pep talks made all the difference on summit day), and to our eagled-eyed safari guide Victor who went above and beyond with some very full safari days. We had an amazing trip, and highly recommend Local Moshi to all who are planning to climb Kilimanjaro and/or do a Tanzania safari. A million thanks for the once in a lifetime trip!

The best experience ever with the Local Moshi Team. Not only was the hike to Kilimanjaro unforgettable but the team made it extra special - to Ali, our guide - a friend for life. Never have I been able to trust someone so blindly, have such a fun time and learn so much - Ali taught me how to count to 100 in Swahili during all the hiking and always made sure we were going at a comfortable pace to make it for summit. Could not have done this trip without him & the wonderful team. Could not have been a better experience

We are eternally grateful to our great crew to get us to the top of Kilimanjaro for the start of our honeymoon! Ezekiel and August did a wonderful job and the communication with Anya & Msechu was friendly and very patient since we had no prior experience! We loved local moshi adventures - we also did a perfect 4 day safari afterwards with them. It is a testament to the company and our guides that they got two inexperienced people, without too much training, to the top of Kilimanjaro without ever risking our health or safety. Thank you Local Moshi Adventures! Asante Sana Aline & Elias

Moshi organized a magnificent one-week private safari during our honeymoon. We began with an excursion at the Kilimangiaro faldes, then Lake Manyara, Serengeti, Ngorongoro and Tarangire. Moshi is a local small company, but the organization was amazing, both the months before and once we arrived in Tanzania. Our guides were very well prepared and friendly, the food and the lodges were far beyond what we expected, and we greatly appreciated their suggestions about the tour and activities to do along the way (trust them! They really know!). Also, their manager was extremely helpful with some little inconveniences that we had at the airport. We really had the best time, we couldn't ask more. Thanks so much, Amanda and Roberto.

We used Local Moshi for our climb up Kilimanjaro and a safari. As there was lots of different companies to choose from we took our time and came up with a few parameters like a local company and one that is a member of KAPA that treat the porters well. From our first correspondence the group there was exceptional. All our questions were answered and they put us at ease. When the climb started our guide Eddie, assistant guide Andrew, waiter Harry and the rest of the group were amazing! They kept our spirits up, always had a smile happening.. and cooked some great food! Without Eddie I am not sure we would have made it to the top, but we did and they were as happy as we were. My hats off to them. Once down we started our safari with Local Moshi…. They gave us the best guide. His name is Mudy and has the best laugh!!! Such a professional driver and made sure we were safe and very well looked after. The accommodations they chose for us was second to none! We have only good things to say about the staff and the company from before we left till the time they dropped us off at the airport! Excellent company, excellent people, and very community oriented.

So very glad that we went with Local Moshi Adventures when we went to Tanzania to climb Kilimanjaro and safari to national parks like Serengeti, Tarangire, and Ngorongoro Crater. Local Moshi is part of KPAP, locally owned, and hires locals. They were reasonable with their pricing, which we appreciated. Ally and Ezekiel, our guide and assistant guides during the climb, were very professional, knowledgeable, and friendly. Learned so much from them regarding culture, flora and fauna, and even some Swahili. They and the whole crew really took care of us and made us feel safe, comfortable (as can be while camping out in the mountains), and looked out for our well-being. Definitely, would not have made it to the summit successfully up and down without the whole team! Safari with Victor was fun, entertaining, and full of learning. He did his best to make sure we got to see the Big Five and many more animals, plants, and other interesting places. We appreciate that he drove us safely throughout our journey - his experience definitely showed! Thank you Anya and Msechu for organizing and making sure we had a wonderful and memorable trip!

We chose Local Moshi to Kilimanjaro last October and it was a great experience! Everything was arranged smoothly and we successfully reached the summit, exactly at sunrise, which was unforgettable. The guides decided to shorten the climb by one day due to the bush fires, which made breathing more difficult at lower altitudes, the right decision to give us a comfortable trip.

We really wanted to support a local tour operator but how to pick the right one? After visiting their website, reading up on a few reviews and a first email we immediately knew that Local Moshi Adventures was the one for us. And they sure delivered on our high expectations! In all our travels we never met a company with such a high level of service, personal attention and going the extra mile. Sure you have operators that deliver premium service but they also charge you premium. Local Moshi Adventures is very reasonably priced. What also was very important to us is that they treat their porters in a good way. We can tell from our first hand experience that they do just that and more. Our group of 4 had the overwhelming amount of 17 guides/cooks/porters to support us in all our needs to reach the top. I am sure they will at some point sing the Kilimanjaro song to you. A truly magnificent experience when you are standing on the mountain itself. Our guides were very professional and strict when it came to our health. Always checking up on us. Making sure we eating and drinking enough. Daily health check. Customizing the schedule where needed or had the cook prepare something different so we would all eat enough. Not that we asked any of this or that we were very demanding or anything. It just all came very naturally to them and always with a smile on their face. They also made sure that the gifts and tipping money we had were divided among them as we had asked. This was very transparent. The owner also made our trip more pleasant by making sure everything was in order. He checked up on us during the trip to make sure of that. Even had a few surprises for us including a huge Kilimanjaro shaped birthday cake when we came back. A big thank you to him! Arranging a last minute one day safari was also not a problem to them. If we are ever to go on a longer safari then they will be the first we will contact. Also the already booked day trip to the Kikuletwa hot springs was very worthwhile. Our chauffeur was very knowledgeable and told and showed us a lot things on the way to and from the hot spring. Including the magnificient baobab trees. Make sure you bring some sweets as you have a good chance to meet some small children who will reward you with the biggest smiles you have ever seen. All in all do not hesitate to book your trip with them. They will not let you down and you will be supporting a local company that not only takes good care of you but also takes good care of all of their personnel.

We chose to do Kilimanjaro for our honeymoon. After chatting to a friend of ours who had used Local Moshi Adventues we decided to go with them too. From the very first contact I had with Msechu and Anya, they were second to none!! They gave us such comprehensive information and answered all our questions so helpfully. They made planning our honeymoon so easy which was brilliant considering how much we had going on at the time. The minute we arrived in Tanzania, they were brilliant. Msechu was super cool and helpful and settled any nerves we had about our impending climb. The crew we had going up the mountain with us were almost like a familly. They were all so smiley, encouraging and helpful. August, our head guide was extremely thorough and made sure we were ok throughout the eight day climb. The food we had was amazing, I don't know how they managed to make it so good! The celebration they did for us at the end was fantastic. It was almost emotional leaving them on the last day as you feel like you get to know them so well. Local Moshi made us feel extra special too it being our honeymoon, adding extra special touches to different parts of our trip which we were not expecting. We did a safari after the climb which was also a fantastic experience. I would definitely recommend doing this too to anyone who might be on the fence about doing a safari as well as climbing Kilimanjaro. Again, Local Moshi had everything so well organised there was nothing for us to do only turn up and go! Climbing Kilimanjaro was a great experience, but I feel it was because we went with Local Moshi was what made it extra special for our honeymoon. I would recommend anyone to go with Local Moshi if you are planning a Kilimanjaro climb or a safari, you will not regret it.
