Local Moshi Adventures
About
We believe in the power of travel to connect people and cultures. We also believe in the importance of responsible tourism to preserve and support local communities. In addition to ensuring the fair and ethical treatment of our mountain crews it is important to us that the experiences offered through our company are sustainable and benefit the local community while not impacting the environment. Therefore we became proud members of KPAP (Kilimanjaro Porters Assistance Project), KRTO (Kilimanjaro Responsible Trekking Organization), as well as IMEC (International Mountain Explorers Connection) and Leave no Trace (LNT). We work closely with community members to showcase the beauty of Tanzania while supporting the livelihoods of its residents.

Had an amazing time climbing Kilimanjaro with LocalMoshi. Not only was the team very friendly, the food and service were way beyond our expectations, but they were also very knowledgeable about health and safety risks and handled everything very well when two people got moderate high-altitude sickness. Very professional. Would highly recommend!

Local Moshi is a 5 star operation. We did a mother daughter trip to Kilimanjaro followed by a whirlwind safari. Local Moshi staff was responsive, kind, caring, professional, and entertaining throughout. A local business, part of KPAP, and with prompt and thorough answers to all our general and safety related questions. On the climb we were supported by a team of porters and crew that worked seamlessly together, were endlessly encouraging, and proud to share their culture and country’s spectacular nature. A particular thank you to Eddy, the lead guide (whose wisdom, gentle humour, and pep talks made all the difference on summit day), and to our eagled-eyed safari guide Victor who went above and beyond with some very full safari days. We had an amazing trip, and highly recommend Local Moshi to all who are planning to climb Kilimanjaro and/or do a Tanzania safari. A million thanks for the once in a lifetime trip!
