Did you know these types of documents and more are generally known to require witnesses?
➡️ When you have these types of documents, always review and/or ask the requestor of the documents on whether witnesses are needed.
➡️ Generally speaking, the purpose of having witnesses present in front of a notary is to ensure that the person signing the document is who they claim to be and that they are signing the document of their own free will and without coercion. Witnesses may also be required to attest that they saw the person sign the document in question, which can be important in legal disputes that may arise later. In addition, witnesses serve as a non-biased individual who will not benefit from the contents stated in those documents.
➡️ All witnesses are required to present a valid and unexpired form of identification such as a State issued driver’s license, US Passport, US military card, etc., as well as be physically present for the appointment.
If for any reason you aren’t able to provide witnesses for your notarization, we can help. Inquire about our signature witnessing services. Please note that additional fees will apply when signers need witnesses and are unable to provide them.
We have very limited appointments this week but our calendar is open 24/7. Contact us today to schedule your appointment!
