Dear Linden Square team, memory care ~
I wanted to share how special your program is and how much we loved and appreciated the care that you took of my brother, Chris F who passed away on 8/25. He was challenged with Down Syndrome and Alzheimer's.
Your care for Chris and our family was above and beyond. You took the time to understand his needs and help all of us transition into a new level of care.
Patti Alber started the process with her thorough intake process, helping us to understand what was needed and then coordinating with PACE to make sure all requirements were met. She was kind, responsive and knowledgeable.
Brittany, who has since left, was also wonderful in her support and concern for his medical needs. Misha was also responsive and helpful as we worked through the kinks.
The team in his Memory Care unit were exceptional aside from one incident that was handled very well when I expressed my concerns.
I want to give huge thanks to -
GG and Elena - they are the most decent, kind, compassionate and helpful humans I have had the joy of seeing do exceptional work. GG went out of her way to problem solve to keep Chris safe and happy. I watched her interact with all of the residents with this care and I can’t thank her enough. GG, you made our hearts so happy when we knew you were caring for Chris.
Elena, your caring heart and competent skills also left us feeling so safe with Chris being out of our care and sight. Thank you for your kind words and compassion at all times. We are so grateful for you.
Silvia and Reggie were also wonderful and competent. Friendly toward us and other visitors and helped Chris feel comfortable by talking his language - music and superheroes.
Bonnie in activities brought joy to Chris’s days. Thank you, Bonnie, Jake and all of your activity staff, for working so hard to make sure that Chris and all of the residents have meaningful activities and joy in their days no matter where they were in their memory care journey. I have the best picture of Jake and Chris doing the cardio drumming. It meant so much that you took the time to play with him.
Kevin in maintenance also was instrumental. From setting up his room to having kind words for us, he was such a pleasure to talk with. He was so sweet to try and see Chris and say hi, talk about the Lions whenever he was around.
I know there are other staff in his unit that I am forgetting to thank or didn’t know their names. Please pass on our thanks to the entire team for all that they do to care for the most vulnerable in our society. They are all a gift and deserve all of our praise. You have assembled a dream team for our family members.
We also wanted to give appreciation for the way that Linden Square allowed us to make Chris’s room his own. He had his decorations and comfort items. They helped ensure that he had what he needed and we appreciate that you care about this aspect of allowing residents to feel at home away from home.
Although our stay at Linden Square was short and it was hard to place Chris in a facility, you helped us in so many ways to transition. We felt so welcome every time we visited and were able to enjoy family time within the memory care setting which was so wonderful.
Thank you for all you do in caring for your residents. We are forever grateful.
Sincerely,
Lisa A
