In spite of an intense custody battle with his estranged spouse, Angelina Jolie, Brad Pitt has recently been spending every other day with his children. This visitation arrangement began after the recent expiration of their temporary summer timeshare agreement. Since the couple's court-ordered custody evaluation has not been completed, permanent legal arrangements are still unresolved. Although the children do not spend the night with Pitt, they are spending four hours per day together on school days and 12 hours per day together on non-school days. The visits are still supervised by a court-approved supervisor from the Department of Children and Family Services. Pitt's children include 14-year-old Pax, 13-year-old Zahara, 12-year-old Shiloh, and 10-year-old Vivienne and Knox. Jolie’s adopted son Maddox, has the ability to choose when he wants to spend time with one or both parents, since he is 17 years of age. The custody battle continues, however, and Jolie recently acquired new counsel after discharging her prior attorneys. According to Jolie's spokesperson, she acquired a new attorney with expertise in “protecting children and focusing on the best interests of children.” The couple has been divorcing since 2016, when Jolie filed for divorce after an alleged confrontation between Pitt and their eldest son Maddox. However, the FBI has since cleared Pitt of any charges relating to the alleged confrontation.
