Spills, Tumbles, and Wrecks: What Really Counts as a “Personal Injury”?
When people hear "personal injury," they usually think of a big car crash. But our team, who has helped families for decades, knows it’s much more than that. A personal injury is any time you or your child gets hurt because someone else was not careful.
This "not being careful" is called negligence. It could be:
● A store owner who doesn't clean up a spill (a slip and fall).
● A driver who runs a red light.
● A landlord who doesn't fix a broken stair.
Even a seemingly small injury, especially to a child, can cause big problems later. The U.S. Centers for Disease Control (CDC) says that injuries are the number one cause of death for children and teens. This is why we take these cases so seriously.
If your child gets hurt and you think it might be someone else's fault, what should you do?
1. Focus on health first. Go to a doctor right away.
2. Take notes. Write down what happened, while it's fresh in your mind.
3. Call a team you can trust.
Our job is to listen. We can help you find out if you have a case. We're here to help you and your family get back on your feet.
