When “He Said, She Said” is the Whole Case
In many cases (like assault or domestic disputes), there is no video. There are no other witnesses. It's just your word against the other person's word. People ask us, "They can't convict me on that, can they?"
The answer is yes. They absolutely can. A jury can choose to believe one person and not the other. That is all it takes. So, what is our job as your lawyers? Our job is to show that the other person is not credible.
● Did they change their story? (We will compare their story to the 911 call, the police report, and what they say in court).
● Do they have a reason to lie? (A divorce? A child custody fight? Money?)
● Did they wait days or weeks to call the police?
We are experts at digging for the truth. In a "he said, she said" case, our job is to find the facts that back you up.
