Lavie Care Home

My father came to the Lavie home in Jan. 2025. The staff were always wonderful with him. The home was always clean, bright, and decorated for any holidays. The staff was always pleasant and provided freshly made meals he enjoyed. He passed away the middle of April, a couple of weeks after the home staff arranged a wonderful party for his 104th birthday, which he and all his family thoroughly enjoyed. We’re so grateful for the care they provided at the end of his life!

My goodness, I can't say enough great things about Lavie Adult Family Home! The staff genuinely care for their clients. My mother is treated with respect and dignity. Carla and her staff treat my mother like family. Also, the house is run smoothly and is clean. I usually visit around lunch time and the wonderful smells from the kitchen make me want to stay! At the end of the day, I know my mother is getting the best care possible.

If you're looking for a home to provide comfort, grade A health care and an environment which promotes living and enhances life for your loved one, LAVIE is the best place to do so. The providers are great, the staff is awesome and the meals are delectable.

Mom was diagnosed with cancer and we needed a good place for her that would provide a home environment and personal care that mom deserves. The time that mom spent with Lavine care home was everything we hoped for. Carla and staff members were fantastic. Mom felt safe at the home and the staff made us all feel like family. We chose Lavie because we were impressed with several things on our first visit.Carla introduced us to some of the residents and also her family. All very pleasant! Carla was well qualified with all of her credentials. She used those skills to assist with my mother’s care after she had moved in. We were initially impressed with the working staff and more so as time went on. It truly was more of a family environment than I could have hoped for. As time went on, I was impressed with the care given to everyone. Also, the meals….home made, fine ingredients, excellent chef skills by the staff. The monitoring of the residents was very good with all details taken care of. I appreciated that some of the staff even took my mom out for walks in the neighborhood. Speaking of the neighborhood, really kind neighbors, always sociable to my mother and me on our walks. I have appreciated the peace of mind knowing the care and compassion of the staff members taking care of my mom, and Carla’s expertise in all areas of health and management.

Our 92-year old mom was diagnosed with Stage 4 lung cancer. She had been generally physically healthy at the time with a little dimentia. Mom had been living in her own home at the time. The cancer was not curable and within a few weeks of diagnosis a blood clot developed which immediately put her in the hospital. After a few weeks at a skilled nursing facility, mom was going to need physical assistance with her daily needs; personal hygiene, medications, bathroom, food and engagement with people. She qualified for an adult family home. Mom was not going to be able to return to her home. We had assistance narrowing down to 3 locations which we visited, interviewed and chose Lavie Adult Family Home at Hawks Prairie. We couldn't have found a better place. Carla and her team became family to mom... and honestly to us. We visited mom daily and everyone on the staff were engaging, loving, caring and fun. They are professional, well trained, skilled and sensitive in working with residents and families during this end of life period. Mom had a sense of humor and they rolled with it. Thankfully Mom had long-term care insurance which covered the majority of the costs for her to be there. I recommend Lavie Adult Family Home if you have a loved one who needs care.

Greg has received excellent care at Lavie. We are both fond of the staff, their attentiveness and help. Meals are also good. The medical care provided is regular and thorough.
