Lashes by Rita

**Edit** The only time I have ever called Rita was the day I booked my first appointment. The claim that I yelled at her is completely fabricated because I never picked up my phone to call or answer her calls. Her need to flat out lie about the experience just solidifies my decision that this is not someone worth doing business with. I did, however, text her around 8 or 8:30 at night when I told her I wanted to cancel. Her decision to call me twice right after and then text me in return was her own. It was not "late at night." I debated leaving 2 or 3 stars but the more I thought about my experience, the less I felt good about it. I went here 3 times. The first time, I thought the lashes irritated my eyes because my eyes were sensitive. I noticed scratchy bulbs on the end of my lash extensions and asked if it was because of the volume lashes. She said no, but never really explained, so I researched. The “bulbs” were excess glue used on premade volume lashes. I went for a fill at another location today and my new tech immediately called her next appointment to ask if she could come later because I needed a full removal and new set, not a fill. And she didn’t charge me for the removal because they were so bad. I asked her what my old lashes were made of and she said they were some kind of synthetic material. I didn’t tell her that Rita assured me they were high quality mink and silk. Now that I HAVE high quality, hand made, mink-like volume lashes, I know what I was missing. Also, I noticed a sty starting on my eye after my first fill. Then I read a review about her hygiene and noted that she went from one appointment, took their payment, then took me back, never washed her hands, played with her phone, and then touched my eyes without ever washing in between. Lastly, she never accepted my Groupon, claiming she had an issue with them. When I reached out to groupon for a credits she told them she would accept it, so they refused to refund it until I sent a screenshot of our text convo showing she would not. You can see from the pics how much adhesive she used, and I asked other lash techs who I know personally and also through a Reddit thread how these lashes looked. They said it looks like she glues them to your lids, does not isolate, and uses cheap, “ardell” premade lashes. 0/10 will not recommend.

Rita was great! I found her on Groupon as I am just here on vacation. She was so nice and did an amazing job! Wish I lived here to become an actual client. I would recommend her 100x over.

First time visiting Rita today. I did a hybrid full set and they look very nice and natural. Rita was very gentle and everything was nice and clean. Parking was easy, I only had a little trouble finding what unit, but I texted Rita and she immediately responded on where to go.

I found this small business owner on Groupon and decided to give it a try, but personally, I wouldn’t recommend it to others. While Rita did an okay job, the location and the services felt unprofessional. Since it was my first time, and my eyes were closed, it would have been helpful if she had communicated what she was doing throughout the process. Instead, I was left in silence for several minutes while she used her phone to talk to others. I was also concerned about hygiene, as she touched my face and then her phone without apparent care. I also did not like the fact of writing my credit card down on a piece of paper and just leave it there.

Rita was very accommodating when my original lash tech cancelled due to illness days before my wedding. She was able to get me in and do a full set of lashes. She was very processional and easy to work with and my lashes look amazing. I highly recommend!

Wow- still can’t wrap my head around what happened… Unbelievable, and not in a good way 😠 I called for an appt. and she answered so kindly and said ‘what about Friday at 11:00.’ I responded by saying that would be perfect. I didn’t receive a confirmation text, but I went ahead anyway. Her facility is impossible to find: no outside signs saying anything about Lashes by Rita. The only reason I knew where it was because my cousin had recently been there and gave her mixed reviews. I arrived at 11:01, went to the desk, she came from the back room and told me I was twenty minutes late and she couldn’t and wouldn’t take me. I told her she said 11:00 on Friday, not 10:45 on Friday. She started raising her voice in her defense and I simply flashed her the peace sign and left. That’s my story w Rita.

Rita was amazing!!! So nice and accommodating. I came in for my hybrid set she showed me pictures and asked what type of look I wanted. I had lashes from a previous set done elsewhere wanted them longer, and she made it happen. I'm really impressed and I will be going back. Highly recommend! My lashes look great!

Let us forget for a second about the fact that Rita is a lovely person with a good heart that makes you feel comfortable from the get go. She did a stunning job on my lashes and while I was there she also waxed my brows and lip. She graciously corrected a suboptimal lash job I had previous to my visit to her. If you are looking for a professionally skilled esthetician your journey ends here.

I actually went to Rita because my eyelash technician of several years was ill. Rita was closer in proximity and agreed to squeeze me in. Well, I am super pleased with my results. I have actually booked my second appointment with her. Yelp, she knows what she is doing and loves doing it.

First time here. Had my eyelashes done before elsewhere but its nowhere as beautiful and clean as Rita does! She’s very professional and amazing person! ❤️❤️ definitely gonna be a regular costumer now :)
