I’m leaving this review due to ongoing communication and billing issues that are leading me to switch dental offices.
I was originally told my implant process could be handled in-house. After months of waiting for follow-up regarding the specialist portion, I was ultimately referred out. When it was time to coordinate the crown placement, there did not appear to be communication between this office and my oral surgeon’s office. I was already in the dental chair and numbed, and I then spent about an hour trying to reach the oral surgeon’s office so the next steps could move forward.
I also knew from the beginning that this office does not accept secondary insurance, but I disagree with that policy because my primary and secondary coverage together are designed to cover the full balance. I have strong dental insurance and have not had unexpected bills with prior providers. With this office, I received a call and was told I needed to pay $500+ and that I had a deductible related to a pre-authorization submitted for work this year. That was unexpected, and I did not receive a clear explanation that resolved my concerns.
There are CareCredit advertisements in the office, and while financing may help some patients, it was frustrating to see financing promoted while secondary insurance is not accepted especially when secondary coverage is a standard way many patients pay for care without taking on debt.
When I said I would be seeking another dentist, the response I received was “I don’t blame you,” which did not feel professional or helpful.
Lastly, I had a filling done about a month ago and I’ve had pain since then. I’ll be having it evaluated by another provider.
I hope the practice improves communication, coordination with specialists, and clarity around costs and insurance.
