Melvin and his team did a wonderful job for us. They were prompt, thorough and respectful of our property. They did an excellent and professional job in removing our old lawn, installing 19 gauge stainless steel gopher meshing, topsoil and natural 9010 fescue sod in 3 days time while protecting the newly laid topsoil with a layer of clear plastic for 2 days of heavy to medium rainfall in between at a reasonable price. We recommend Landscaping la Economica highly and will use them again.

I have high praise for Landscaping La Economica! I've had poor experiences with other landscapers, so I was cautious. However, these guys are the best! Responses to my texts were lightning fast. They began the job just a couple of days after I contracted them, and finished sooner than we had anticipated, with amazing results! They completely transformed both my front and back yards, both of which were overrun with weeds, and they overhauled my irrigation system. They planted some beautiful flowers for me, removed a bunch of junk from my backyard, and put down new weed cloth and mulch. They also power washed all of the concrete, and repaired my gate and fence. Everyone on the team was courteous and helpful. The owner, Melvin, is a treasure trove of landscaping ideas. There were some old flag stones that I wanted taken out from in front of my porch, and Melvin asked me what I wanted to do with them. I was like, "I don't know. Throw 'em out, I guess?" But Melvin repurposed them as a cool design element in the front yard! The team was quite flexible as I changed and added to the plans that I had for the yards. I highly recommend Landscaping La Econinica. Whatever your vision for your landscaping, these guys can make it happen, and more!

Melvin and Joey from La Economica Landscaping did a truly amazing job of designing and installing landscape, planters, stone and paver walkways and even a front yard fountain. Landscaping La Economica did a great job pouring a new pad for my spa. Melvin, very friendly and pleasant, came over to bid the job shortly after I put it out on Yelp. Everything is expensive nowadays, but the bid was the lowest, and they have great reviews. Felipe and his cousin Sergio did the job. It was not a straightforward square corner screeded pour, but we discussed what I wanted, the guys made it happen, and cleaned up nicely afterwards. I also need to give kudos to Cindy for excellent communication via texts. Everyone was very capable and professional. Thanks.

4 stars for quality work. 0 stars for ethical business practices I hired Melvin and George from La Económica Landscaping after receiving a written estimate from their coordinator, Cindy, for work that included: • Garden clean-up & hauling – $1,375 • Mulch + small brick installation (combined) – $650 Total: $2,025 And a recurring monthly maintenance fee at $200 The crew did a nice job with the clean-up. Their labor and craftsmanship were good. However, the way this business operates is extremely concerning. Even though the scope was clearly defined both verbally and in writing, the owner later tried to change the terms of the estimate, claiming parts of the agreed-upon work were “mistakenly included.” Throughout the process, there were multiple “gotcha” moments, surprise clarifications, shifting explanations, and attempts to downplay what was originally promised. Despite the written estimate explicitly listing a “mulch + small brick installation (combined)”, the brick installation was never completed. When I followed up, they claimed it had been a “mistake” in the estimate and refused to honor that part of the agreement. Communication became defensive, taunting, and unprofessional, and rather than resolve the situation collaboratively, the owner sent a $300 refund before we had even reached an agreement, then canceled my ongoing maintenance service altogether. It’s disappointing, because the work quality itself was solid. But their business ethics and communication practices are sketchy. They seem more focused on short-term profit than building long-term relationships or standing by their written commitments. They told me the brick feature would enhance the look of my garden. I guess I’ll never find out. If you decide to hire them, make sure every detail is documented and signed. Otherwise, expect last-minute changes and confusion about what you actually paid for.

Melvin removed 2 large trunks out of my back yard. He came in at a fair price and was prompt to arrive. I mentioned I was concerned about getting the chip debris in my rubber mulch so Melvin brought extras floor coverings to make sure that didn't happen. Great team and would definitely recommend

Mr. Ixcoy came the next day at the appointed time and he and his crew did a thorough job of removing 30 years of ivy from the front yard and fence. He’s a nice guy who knows his stuff. A very hard worker, too. The price was less than I’d been quoted by other businesses, and the cleanup was spotless. I highly recommend Landscaping La Economica!
