This project in Chapin, SC, focused on enhancing the property's curb appeal through thorough exterior cleaning. Lakeside Softwash executed a series of soft wash services on the roof, house exterior, and front brick steps, effectively removing stains and organic growth while protecting the building materials. We started with the roof, using soft washing to eliminate unsightly black streaks without high pressure, preparing it for a future sealing process that will safeguard the shingles from wear and weather damage. The main house received a complete soft wash to address algae and other growth, ensuring a deep clean without risking damage to the brick surfaces or grout. The same gentle technique was applied to the front brick steps, where algae had created a slipping hazard; this treatment not only improved safety but also enhanced their appearance. By cleaning the roof in preparation for sealing, we ensured that the organic staining was removed, allowing the upcoming sealant to adhere properly and extend the life of the shingles. Choosing soft washing over power washing was intentional, as it prevents water from entering joints or eroding mortar, resulting in a cleaner look and minimizing future moisture issues. Overall, Lakeside Softwash successfully restored the home to a cleaner and safer condition, with the roof ready for sealing, the house exterior free of algae, and the front steps made safer for use.
