Check Their Certification
Licenses such as bizSafe Level 3 go a long way in proving if the contractor can be trusted. It means they went through the appropriate channels, did their work in a way that proves they know what they are doing. They know how to mitigate risks. This is especially important if you are renovating an HDB.
Your renovator has to be considerate of your neighbors too. They should be intimately aware of the laws involving renovation.
Contact Them For Quotation
You probably have a specific budget set for your renovation project. Contact them and see what they offer you. If it’s more than you can afford, if you explain it to them, there’s a good possibility they will try to lower it for you.
If they are good contractors, they would do so without compromising on the quality of the work. Sure, they might buy inexpensive material instead of fancy ones, but they will make sure your home still gets the shine and sturdiness you want.
If the contractors quote too low than the market rate, then it could be because they are new. A fresh face doesn’t mean they won’t offer quality, but you will have to proceed with risk.
