We spent four nights and had the best experience. It was by far our favorite place to stay in Egypt. The staff was extremely kind and always available, the food was affordable, fresh and well cooked. We would definitely go back and recommend to anyone.

Beautifully located ecolodge / camp on a small island in Aswan. For travelers who are used to camp life, this is as luxurious as it gets: fully functional rooms including A/C, running hot water, all-day electricity, clean bathrooms, delicious food. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful, if a bit inexperienced. The owners are thoughtful people with a mission to spread the Nubian culture and support their local environment. They organized trips for us every single day, from a Nile promenade to a full day visit to Abu Simbel. The cons: the dock is hard to reach by car without detailed instructions; the cats who besieged us during meals can get annoying (even though they're cute and useful to ward off pests from the camp). The highlights: beautiful sunrise and sunset, taking a dip in the clean Nile, a massive menu with authentic Egyptian and Nubian options, the quiet and beautiful surroundings, being able to get to the mainland within minutes. There's much more to say but I'm running out of steam here... Thanks to everyone who made our stay super enjoyable! We'll be sure to recommend you to our friends and we hope to be back.

The hotel has a beautiful view, and you can tell the owners put a lot of effort into its decor. However, the location is hard to find and inconvenient for getting around. Everyone was very welcoming upon check-in, but the showerhead in the room was broken, and the sheets weren't very clean. Also, breakfast was included in my booking, but it wasn't. The top pancake was fine, but the bottom one was undercooked and had a sour taste. The staff were very helpful; they brought me my phone back after I forgot it, so I gave them a 100 EGP tip. However, the hotel's airport shuttle service was ridiculously expensive. The owner initially agreed on 600 EGP, but the staff charged 750 EGP the next day. Perhaps this is just the way things are done in Aswan; I was a bit disappointed. I won't go back there again.

We loved our stay at Krouma Camp & Ecolodge! The location is absolutely beautiful, peaceful and right by the water. It’s a bit harder to reach than other hotels, but totally worth it. We just called the guys at the camp and they spoke with the driver. No hassle at all. The people are lovely, and the camp even has a small music school where local kids take classes on weekends, which adds such a nice touch. Our two-night stay was perfect. The bed was super comfortable, the food was delicious, and it was the ideal place to slow down and relax. You can even swim right in front of the camp or rent a kayak to explore. Highly recommended!

lovely room with plenty of windows that provide great ventilation, along with a superb view and adorable cats and dog. People are welcoming, atmosphere is extremely relaxing, boneless chicken dish is delicious (note VAT and service fee is over 20% ) juice is however watery. The location can be hard to find, it's recommended to use the accommodation's transport service (note it costs 300/600 egp per trip) Recommend this place for travelers who prefer to stay in and relax rather than frequently going out visiting tourist attractions.

We came for an afternoon and lunch, it was amazing, the owners and the staff are all so kind and calm and the food is very good for a great quality price. The view is absolutely stunning and so relaxing. Really recommend staying or passing by for a meal at least.

A completely heartless owner. During my stay, my money was stolen. I asked them to assist in coordinating with the police, but they simply said it was none of their business. A terrible hotel that only cares about making money and has no concern for its guests. If you plan to stay here, you’d better bet that your money won’t be stolen. Otherwise, you’ll just have to suffer the loss, because the owner has no conscience. I’ve been in Egypt for a month, and this was the worst experience I’ve had.

We spent 3 nights here and also ate breakfast and dinner most nights. We focused on Egyptian food and it was delicious every time. The staff are also super friendly and helpful. Great place to relax and explore the surrounding area from.
