Ordered take out: beef jun, kalua pork, poke bowl, and chicken katsu. Looking at the reviews, I had pretty high hopes. 80 dollars total after including a tip.
Dishes are typically around 15-20 dollars per plate. You get one scoop of rice, one scoop of mac, and a generous amount of protein. It doesn’t look like much in the container but when you start eating, you’ll know.
Food is very tasty. Not overly sweet and overly sauced like other Hawaiian places. Furikake over the rice is a nice touch. It tastes like a really good home cooked meal.
Poke bowl is interesting (in a good way). The jalapeños are sliced paper thin and deep fried, which adds crunch to the typical soft poke.
Overall, this place is delicious. I don’t go out to eat often but I will keep this place in mind when I do. Couldn’t take pictures cuz I ate it all
