He makes sure that not only my husband's funeral was taken care of he also makes sure I am taken care of. He made this difficult time easier for me. He follow through and most important he treated me like a family. But when I lost my father—the first man I ever loved and the one I hold all standards to—I was simply a daughter in need of support. From the pre-arrangements years ago to my father’s cremation, Michael Horkan at Knight-Auchmoody Funeral Home provided an experience that was profoundly compassionate. He extended me the professional courtesy of allowing me to accompany my father during transport and took such meticulous care in dressing him, making him handsome for a private moment that brought me immense comfort. When we arrived at Maclennan Hall Crematorium, I was blown away. It was immaculately clean, and the staff treated my father with a level of respect that surpassed all my expectations. It isn’t just a job to Michael; he has a genuine heart for this industry and for the families he serves. I also want to specifically mention Billy for all his help in assisting Michael. Billy is such a compassionate person, and the care he provided was a true source of comfort. I wish Billy all the success in the world as he navigates his journey in this profession; he has the heart for it. Michael and Billy were supportive from the start to the very last moment, and because of this care, my family is already seeking their guidance for future needs. Michael, I offer you my deepest and most profound thank you. You didn't just handle a transition; you protected my father and held space for my heart. During the most difficult time of my life Mike at Knight-Auchmoody really made this process as simple as it could be. I really didn't know where to start. Who to call. Who to contact. I was so overwhelmed. A Dear friend of the family put me in contact with Mike and it was the best decision I ever made. He really came through for me. I basically didn't have to do a thing but sign a piece of paper when I got my dad's remains back. He really took care of everything, went above and beyond. I couldn't thank him enough. ❤️

However, following the recent death of my mother we discovered that Michael and his staff have continued to provide services with the same, if not is some areas an improved, level of compassion, care, and much appreciated attention to details. Michael's demeanor and helpfulness made the selection of individual elements a comfortable, no pressure process. And the execution of every element, from the preparation for and conduct of visitation in the funeral home to transfer to a local church, and unexpected but so very much appreciated transit of the funeral procession past my mother's home, was flawless and contributed greatly to the tribute to my mother she so deserved that would not have been possible without the careful and caring services provided by Michael and his equally caring staff.
