Kinohana Nail Studio

Went there for a gel manicure and was very happy with the outcome. However when I went back for the gel soak off and manicure (without polish), I was left disappointed - the base/gel was not properly removed entirely so what was left are small patches here and there on each nail (attached are some pics on what it looks like that afternoon after returning home from the nail studio). Also there were line cracks on my thumb nail after the soak off (see pic) and the stylist did not even bother attending to it such as bringing up if I would like a nail strengthener etc. She just brushed the cuticle oil on the cuticle area on all fingers and went off. On a separate note, it was also rather strange that I had to go to the toilet area to wash my hands before coming back for her to apply the cuticle oil. Have been to so many nail salons in Singapore and overseas over the years and this was the first time I had to do so which was very puzzling… [Response to nail salon’s reply] Please train the manicurists on a regular basis. I have never come across such a bad soak off + manicure (without polish) outcome in my life - even JB nail salons do a much better job with highest level of attention and service for half the price. Yes I understand I have this issue with my thumb nail and other nail salons have always went above and beyond to address it when they see it instead of turning a blind eye to it. Also, other nail salons use sanitized fresh hot wet towels at the end before cuticle care as part of the experience rather than asking the customer to go to the toilet to wash their hands. For the price the nail studio is charging (which is comparable to other popular nail salons with good reputation), it would be good to review and upgrade the entire customer experience.

First time at KinoHana, and managed to get a slot with Director Kokia. Great attention to details for nail prep and a variety of flame bits were being used to clean up the cuticle area. Both hard gel and polish were applied nicely. Only setback was during payment, when I informed I had already input my cc details during booking via the website. The staff understood what was being implied immediately and explained that booking via website would sometimes prompt the person to pay for the appointment in full. A sale was taken via EDC and had to be voided. In this case, it will take about 14-21 business days for the bank to return the money. Perhaps, it would be better to determine an amount to be collected as deposit during booking and the rest be collected after the appointment to minimise confusion in the future.

Visited this salon on my trip and got the promo manicure. IT WAS SO GOOD and I’m so happy with how it turned out. I’ve been getting my nails done consistently for almost ~8 years and this is one of my fave nail designs/experiences. The salon is nice and clean, and the nail tech was friendly, extremely detailed, meticulous and careful with my nails. The reservations get booked up quite quickly (not surprisingly!) so I recommend booking in advance.

After the first pleasant experience, I came back for another style with Hui An. She is amazing and attentive to details, the end result goes beyond my expectations. Even I don’t live in Singapore, this place will become my must visit every time I am visiting. Thank you Hui An, see you next time!

Femi is an amazing nail artist who truly pay attention to every detail. She’s sharp in her choices, gives thoughtful suggestions and never once feels pushy or hard selling. Overall, it’s a pleasant and relaxing experience.

I have been with Kinohana for years. Manicure and pedicure are done nicely and they are very detail-oriented. I’ve seen my nails getting healthier and better looking. And for this time I did a heart shaped cat-eye gel manicure, simply love it 🥰 will definitely keep returning here💗

The salon is quiet and quaint. My daughter and I were welcomed warmly when we arrived. It was easy to communicate with them, and their nail designs are beautiful. I would highly recommend them.

Truly my favourite nail artists! Super kind, patient, sweet and professional! Their skills are the best I’ve experienced, they very carefully remove the polish each time, rebuild the beautiful nail shape and paint the loveliest designs! Amazing nail service! I’ve been visiting Kokia at Kinohana Nail Studio for several years after trying a variety of other Japanese-style nail salons. Kokia’s place deserves more than 5 stars for attention to detail, speed and technical expertise, as well as lovely general atmosphere of the salon - it’s super clean, spacious and comfortable, and they even provide chilled bottled mineral water free of charge! Perfect for our sunny Singapore weather :) I always leave very satisfied with the color and design of my nails. Kokia has many years of experience and is proficient at a variety of techniques and designs. Whatever design I bring to her, she can replicate it perfectly. I have not personally tried the services of the other nailists but I’ve heard reviews from friends that they are trained to high standards as well :) Kokia’s gel removal technique also preserves as much of your original nail as possible - I’ve suffered zero problems with nail thinning and breakage since I’ve been going to her. Anyway if there are any bubbles or chips within a few days of the appointment, Kokia will fix it with a smile :) I am a customer for life!

Fantastic experience! Love the designs that the artist did for me and she really has good aesthetic appreciations! You can tell that instantly when you walk into the salon, feels like walking into a luxurious and stylish spa rather than just a nail salon! Strongly recommend to Japanese style nail art lovers!!
