A New Solar Journey in Kingsnorth: Going Green with Style
We recently completed a solar installation in Kingsnorth, Ashford, designed to future-proof a home while cutting energy costs and promoting sustainability.
The Installation
We installed 9 JA Solar 445W panels and 6 560W panels, totaling 7.4 kW. Each panel has an individual optimiser to maximise efficiency despite shading or weather. At the core is a SolarEdge Home Hub 5kW inverter, converting solar energy into electricity for home use. A 10kW SolarEdge battery stores excess energy for nighttime or cloudy days. A backup interface provides power during outages.
Long-Term Protection
The system includes 25 years of free monitoring via a user-friendly app, ensuring performance issues are quickly addressed. We also installed bird protection mesh to prevent nesting and maintain efficiency.
Comprehensive Service
We handled everything: scaffolding, mounting with the Esdec rail system, MCS registration, and coordination with UK Power Networks. The installation included a new consumer unit to safely manage the increased electrical load.
