⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5/5 – Absolutely satisfying comfort bowl I had the torched mentaiko salmon don at Kirosan Eatery, and it genuinely exceeded my expectations. The salmon was fresh, generously portioned, and beautifully paired with the mentaiko sauce — creamy, savoury, and not overpowering. Every bite felt well-balanced, with the rice cooked just right and the flavours coming together cleanly without being heavy. The boss gave me extra torched mentaiko sauce even when u wanted to pay for it. What really stood out to me was the consistency and care in the food. Nothing felt rushed or sloppy. It’s the kind of bowl that makes you slow down and enjoy instead of just eating to fill up. Service was friendly and efficient, the space was comfortable, and the overall experience felt thoughtfully done. For quality, taste, portion, and value, I’d confidently give 5 stars across all aspects. Definitely a place I’d return to when I’m craving a satisfying don that hits the spot. Gin i came alone at 2pm.

Whilst everyone is queing for Korean food and Chinese cuisine, this quaint, unassuming simple japanese restaurant caught my attention with the Oyakodon. The prices of the rice bowls (dons) were reasonable too. The service was quick as well, but the food. Glistening japanese rice underneath the blanket of runny eggs, chunks of chicken and white onion strips. The chicken was well marinated with the soft rice accompanied by the runny eggs. Its sublime. It's good. Not alot of places can make good Oyakodon and at good price. Will revisit to try other dons. Drop by and try them. 👍👍

Delicious chicken katsu curry, little on the sweet side, but the portion is ok for us westerners. The staff are also very friendly and always smiling. Also has free miso soup. Highly recommend.

Tried the salmon chirashi kaisendon and unagi donburi. Both tasted really delicious! Ingredients were fresh and flavourful. The portion was quite small, it's a good size for people with smaller appetite. Staff was friendly too!

We walked past a few weeks ago and the warm and friendly owner was encouraging us to try his food! We already had lunch then, but made a mental note to come back again since the owner left an impression on us. :) TLDR; The food was good! Kaisendon was fresh and portion was just right. They also offer free flow miso soup and no service charge and gst. I hope this place stays around so I can come back to try other dishes. 🥺

Super nice and quaint spot, fuss free ordering process through QR code and self service miso soup station. Staff was polite. Food came quickly (this was close to 1pm on Sat). Salmon bowl was fresh and tasty, loved the addition of pickles. Highly recommended!

Chicken Katsu Curry was bussin. The chicken was thick and juicy, the curry was nice and tasty. The curry has a slight sweetness, like honey. Possibly from the carrots. The lighting was a bit lame though, it doesn't look appetising from the outside. I think they should get more yellow lights.

Had the Oyakudon and Saba don. It was a flavourful meal. The chicken was fresh and tender! The spices and taste was above average 4.85/5 The Saba was fresh and the meat tasty. The sides that went along made the meal more flavourful 4.85/5 Overall experience Surprisingly Good! Will drop by if I crave for Jap food when around here for sure!

Small place but friendly service. Has the Salmon kaisendon. The Salmon was very fresh and well marinated. Freshness throughout the bowl. Mentaiko egg is taste but it's 3 thin slices. Friend had curry chicken cutlet rice. Chicken is dry and curry a bit diluted in taste. Lacks the punch and taste. Overall a great quick bite. Free miso soup. I think it's with dishes ordered.

Visited Kirro-San with my wife and in-laws while looking for something to eat, and we stumbled upon goodness. The owner was standing at the entrance and warmly encouraged us to give his food a try. Since we were already in the mood for Japanese cuisine, we decided to go for it—and we’re glad we did! The food was fresh and flavorful, and the service was equally impressive. The owner was friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even better. Definitely a great spot if you’re craving quality Japanese food with a personal touch.
