📌 Part 1: The Journey to Finding Our Hero Product
Finding a hero product for my business was never an easy decision. Coming from a catering background deeply rooted in Indian Gujarati flavors, I had many options—pani puri, khaman, chaats—all popular and well-loved. Yet, none felt like "the one" that could define my journey.
Then, nearly 15 years ago, a family member insisted I serve Khowsuey at a small event for 100 people. At that time, I had never made it before, and honestly, I feared the event would be a disaster. But to my surprise, guests loved it, not just enjoying it but asking for refills. That moment planted the first seed, but I didn’t yet realize how special Khowsuey would become.
From Curiosity to Love
Years passed, and I nearly forgot about that experience—until my Faiji (Pupa) invited me to her home and made a bowl of Khowsuey that changed everything. The flavors, the richness, and the experience of building my own bowl reminded me of my first encounter with this dish.
From that day forward, I never stopped craving it.
It became a Sunday comfort food in our home, something we looked forward to as a family. But still, it was just a personal love story—not yet a business decision.
