Sophia and Fred were referred to me by a friend. They are both interior designers, so the bar was set pretty high from the get-go. We bedecked the bathroom with a bohemian and rustic sort of vibe. Its centerpiece is a chunky butcher block sink base with a beautiful natural finish, supported by legs of exposed gas pipes made of brass. Though the fixture’s design suggests it came into being with salvaged materials, much thought went into bringing it to life, and it possesses a counterintuitive elegance. All these components were custom cut, assembled, and installed. Because this design exposes its sub-sink piping, its drain became part of the aesthetic, and so was chosen for its refined appearance and installed with precision. Its minimalist design makes a sink like this an excellent fit for smaller bathrooms.
