We come to Anna Maria Island every year and love to kayak and paddleboard. We tried the clear kayak company last year at Robinson preserve and unfortunately we were very disappointed that you couldn't see anything through the kayaks due to the water being brackish and dark. The clear kayaks were also very uncomfortable honestly it was miserable and a huge waste of money. This year we decided to go with the local guys at Kayaks Jacks and man what a difference!! The kayaks were all sit on top very clean and comfortable great seats lots of back support. They only do private tours so we weren't grouped with a bunch of strangers like the other company just our family. Kody was a huge help getting us launched and helping us up and out of the kayaks after our guided tour. Our tour Guide Randy was fantastic 👏 Randy was a Ranger at Robinson preserve for many years prior and he knew his stuff. He was so good with our small children as well as very patient and funny. He had a vast knowledge of the ecosystem, was able to answer all our questions, and was great explaining things to the kids. With Kayak Jacks we felt like we got the true local expirenence and not some gimmick clear kayak tour. I would definitely recommend these guys thanks again to the Kayak Jacks team we will be back next year.

My husband and I went out on Robinson Preserve for the self guided kayaking this past Sunday. We were met by Cody who gave us the lay of the land. He made sure that we not only knew the route (laminated map was provided) and the water conditions, but also some of the key features that we could visit. He gave us landmarks to look for to find our way around and even made sure that we knew where to find the restrooms. Our trip was amazing. It was so beautiful and peaceful. I am going again tomorrow!

We did the guided tour with Randy for my mom’s birthday. Randy was a former park ranger, and you can tell he still has that passion for the wildlife there. He was very knowledgeable about the flora and fauna of the region, and educated us on reducing human impact including encouraging us to find fishing lines + hooks (we found 7!). He took photos throughout the tour and made sure we had several group photos. His humor also made the trip that much more enjoyable. He also asked for feedback at the end of our trip, we didn’t have any since he was such a good guide, but we appreciated that he was open to it! Mom loves kayaking, so next time we are in the area and want to do a tour, we will certainly go back to these guys!

Best kayaks and guided tours in the area!! Kayaked with a neighborhood group in Robinson Preserve, guided by Ranger Randy!! It was amazing!! Randy helped build the preserve and is a wealth of knowledge on the history of the as well as local lore. Kayak Jack (there really is a Jack!) made to booking process easy. This will be a go-to outing for quests coming to visit!!! Thanks Randy & Jack….cant forget the ever present Corey….could not gotten out of the kayak without you!!!!

Had a wonderful experience renting two kayaks from Kayack Jacks. I called and confirmed the time a few days before and upon arriving the kayaks were ready at the launch point. We received waterproof maps, paddles, and life jackets. Did not see any manatees, but did see many mullets jumping out of the water. It's easy to get turned around without the map so it was great to have it and they even offered me a dry bag to borrow as well to keep my phone in. We turned around at about 45 minutes in since we had other plans that day, so it took us about 90 minutes total, but the rental is up to 4 hours. We've been kayaking before so we opted for self guided. If this is your first time kayaking, I recommend going on a guided tour and whether you have a guide or not, bring lots of ice water to drink, snacks, sunscreen and a big hat. You will likely get tired and hot from all the paddling. Wonderful experience! Gorgeous scenery. Can't wait to get out on the water again!!

They brought kayaks to the Robinson Preserve North Kayak launch. Cody was really helpful, which was great because my mom was a first time kayaker and felt very nervous. Great prices, kayaks were good quality. We had a wonderful paddle!

4th time at Robinson with Kayak Jack and you just can’t beat it! Beautiful waterways, gentle paddling, lots of birds. Easy kayak out to Tampa Bay with amazing views of Sunshine Bridge!

All around GREAT experience with these guys! We called with last minute's notice and were on the water with kayaks, paddles and map in hand at the gorgeous Robinson Nature Preserve. They were all super- helpful, but definite shout-out to Cody who met us at the preserve and made sure we had everything we needed, including suggestions for where we could paddle and wind-conditions even. Did I mention he was funny?! Had us laughing so hard we almost forgot why we were there! Thanks again to the folks at Kayak Jack's!! We will definitely be back and highly recommend them to people of all experience levels with kayaking. WooHOO!

We rented 3 kayaks from Kayak Jacks on March 25 to paddle the Robinson preserve and we couldn’t have been more pleased. When I called for the reservation and told Kayak Jack my name was Jack, he said he’d hook me up with a hat or T shirt when we arrived, and sure enough he did! Kody was great and helped us launch and land. They had life jackets and pouches to keep our belongings dry. We did 3.5 miles in around 2.5 hours to include a stop at the observation tower.
