I just got my Catahoula Leopard Dog back from a one month board and train at K9 Control Training. All of my efforts to get him to recall, not breakaway to chase other dogs, walk with me without pulling, etc... had failed. I was reluctant about losing my boy for a month, but elected to enroll him mostly for his own safety. Today? Different dog! He's obedient, reacts to commands immediately, is a pleasure to take on walks and can now play freely in the common areas of my neighborhood without me worrying about him running off. He even returns the frisbee to me instead of dropping it after fetching and wandering off. I couldn't be happier. The weekly updates from K9 showed impressive progress from week to week. They are absolute pros at this. Don't even think about it. A month goes by faster than you think and is a small investment to achieve a better future for you and your dog. Thank you to everyone at K9 Control Training!

Can't say enough positive things about K9 Control! We are a repeat client. Brought our golden 13 years ago and the transformation was magical! We sadly lost him after 15yr7mo and now we brought our newest addition (a mixed rescue that was a departure from the Goldens we have had with a WAY different temperament) and Ali (sorry if I spelled it wrong!) was A.M.A.Z.I.N.G!! Our Milo was a cute little puppy however after a year he was close to eviction (ok that wouldn't happen but you know what I mean if you are dealing with difficulty). 4 weeks of training and he is still the sweet loving dog we love but all of a sudden he is so much more calm. Our son's friends came over today and he didn't lose his mind at the door howling and barking. He didn't jump on anyone. He is calm and he lays down near my feet to chill. Now I ma sure today was a long day from his last day of training and getting a bath but even with long busy weekend days and a bath he has never been this calm nor has he ever been this responsive. They are worth EVERY penny you spend. Its a lot of work and they keep them for 4 weeks. If you have had dogs for a while and had to board them you know that cost on its own. But they train them and train them right! The best part is the staff are the nicest and most animal loving people. They are so patient. Thank you so much!!!

Couldn't be happier with the K9 Control Team! Joe made us feel so comfortable and safe leaving our dog with them. They were very communicative through the 4 week program. Hannah who trained our dog Rocket was wonderful! Definitely recommend K9 Control.

We used k9 control 9 years ago with our american staffishord, I wasnt going to allow a breed type to sterityped along with untrained behavior. It was the best investment not only for our dog to be trained. But for a seamless life for our family. Having a well trained dog creates less chaos, a calmer dog and an understanding of expectations. We love having full recall, the ability to tell her place and she goes to her closest bed, which leads to no jumping on visitors no begging at the table, whichnis amazing. The ability to go out with her to places and have her settle at your feet, is amazing. Not to kention the off leash walking, she still does better off leash than on, lol. Love this company have recommended it for years as the best investment we ever did for our family. And will never have another dog that doesn't have that level of training. We are about to send the new puppy back and I have no doubt it will be as good as last time!!! Don't hesitate.

Great Pyrenees mom here, everyone told me that I’d be wasting my time and money to even attempt training. I started to believe it after calling several trainers and being told that his breed is stubborn and not trainable. When I got the call back from Joey at K9 I was expecting to hear the same thing but he had a completely different outlook and attitude. He gave us hope and comfort immediately. I have so much gratitude and appreciation for this team and their dedication to teaching pets confidence and structure. Joey was very transparent and answered every question/addressed every concern we had. His communication was 100%. I loved our weekly report cards, it was hard being away from Stitch for so long but the report card validated that it was for the best and he was learning so much. The videos and pictures of Ali working with Stitch and giving him love really solidified that we choose the right place and he was in the best hands imaginable. Before k9 training our dog was putting us through what we called his “terrible twos” but without the guidance from K9 this would have gone on way beyond him being 2. Not only did they teach our dog how to be confident and respectful but they taught us the importance of stability and how to truly coexist with him. The difference in stitch is so huge that everyone is saying he went to boot camp. Our concerns ranged from not being able to walk him, reacting to strangers, constantly guarding our home and just not being able to control him which can be dangerous when dealing with a dog as big as you are. Stitch now walks beside us with ease, no pulling or even stopping to look at strangers and their dogs. He looks at us for commands constantly whereas before he would do whatever he wanted and ignore us. He sits when strangers and other dogs pass. His reactions to loud noises outside, knocks on the door or people passing by have subsided. We’ve practiced walking off leash ourselves and he did amazing but Stitch is a reflection of Ali’s passion, this would not be our new reality without her. I am blessed to have found K9, we now have a lifetime of peace and support. When we grow our pup family, they will go right to Joey and Ali.

Denver & Butterball had a great time with Jaylin and Charles over the weekend. They sent videos of the boys playing outside in the backyard and said they were well behaved. I love how they are so interactive with the dogs and they are so nice. They are great at what they do. We will definitely be taking the boys back when we have to be away from home again.

*edit in response* I’d be happy to discuss the matter with you offline - we made it very clear when we picked her up that we were extremely dissatisfied. Her name was Pepper. The intent of my review was to share our experience with your training approach so others would know what to expect. This review is years-late but I felt I needed to share our experience. Our rescue dog (with anxiety and a disabled leg) needed some general obedience training and leash reactivity help, so we signed her up for the 4 week program. After 2 weeks, we stopped receiving updates on her progress and condition and texts went unanswered. Something instinctual told us we needed to intervene. We picked her up two weeks early to find that she had lost 10 pounds, she had lacerations on her neck and legs, her eyes were bloodshot, and her bed had been taken away because she urinated on it - which meant she was sleeping on concrete with a metal-fused elbow. She was a physical and emotional wreck for weeks. I would not recommend this business to anyone and would give zero stars if I could. The methods used to train dogs at this facility are unkind and inhumane.

When we brought our puppy home from K9 Control it was like we were living in an alternate dimension... I expected the chaos of a puppy, 4 year old, and elderly dog to pick right back up where we left it but it did not. Our 9 mo. old GSP mix came home trained, calm, and ready to listen. I didn't know you could put a dog in "place" on their bed and be able to feed the kiddo and other dog without the puppy trying to steal everyone's food or having to put her in her kennel. Does she test her limits daily? Yes. Do we have to practice everything daily? Yes. But that's to be expected. The e-collar is amazing, not harmful, and I feel confident that I always have control of our dog. 4 weeks without her sucked and we missed her terribly but it was worth it and I understand why they do 4 weeks instead of 2 or 3. Joe the owner was super responsive and communicative on how it all worked. Hannah P was her trainer and she did an amazing job. We ended up going with K9 over others because of recommendations and because they also offer ongoing trainings for free and they do overnight boarding for dogs that "graduate". It's awesome to know they'll practice those skills with our pup when we go away on vacation and we'll come home to a better behaved dog!

We had our 9 month old mini goldendoodle go through the training program at K9 Control Training. Before taking him, he would not come when called and did not listen to my husband or I. After training, he is a brand new puppy! He now heels on leash, can walk off leash, listens to commands and obeys hand signals as well, and knows when to play vs when to be calm. We could not thank K9 Control Training enough for the incredible work they did with our boy!

I had my German shepherd trained here for anxiety, she use to whine all the time, pull on the leash and bark like crazy! Now she is calm, walks beside me without a leash and barely barks unless some comes into our yard. The staff was amazing and always keep me up to date on everything. You can tell they love dogs!!!! Also twice we got snowed in and the owner literally slept at the facility to make sure the dogs were ok! The best part is my Lucy still has that playful side to her and plays with our other dogs! Also the give very detailed instructions on how to keep up their training at home!!!!
