Great Pyrenees mom here, everyone told me that I’d be wasting my time and money to even attempt training. I started to believe it after calling several trainers and being told that his breed is stubborn and not trainable. When I got the call back from Joey at K9 I was expecting to hear the same thing but he had a completely different outlook and attitude. He gave us hope and comfort immediately. I have so much gratitude and appreciation for this team and their dedication to teaching pets confidence and structure. Joey was very transparent and answered every question/addressed every concern we had. His communication was 100%. I loved our weekly report cards, it was hard being away from Stitch for so long but the report card validated that it was for the best and he was learning so much. The videos and pictures of Ali working with Stitch and giving him love really solidified that we choose the right place and he was in the best hands imaginable. Before k9 training our dog was putting us through what we called his “terrible twos” but without the guidance from K9 this would have gone on way beyond him being 2. Not only did they teach our dog how to be confident and respectful but they taught us the importance of stability and how to truly coexist with him. The difference in stitch is so huge that everyone is saying he went to boot camp. Our concerns ranged from not being able to walk him, reacting to strangers, constantly guarding our home and just not being able to control him which can be dangerous when dealing with a dog as big as you are. Stitch now walks beside us with ease, no pulling or even stopping to look at strangers and their dogs. He looks at us for commands constantly whereas before he would do whatever he wanted and ignore us. He sits when strangers and other dogs pass. His reactions to loud noises outside, knocks on the door or people passing by have subsided. We’ve practiced walking off leash ourselves and he did amazing but Stitch is a reflection of Ali’s passion, this would not be our new reality without her. I am blessed to have found K9, we now have a lifetime of peace and support. When we grow our pup family, they will go right to Joey and Ali.
