Jyoti Indian Cuisine

I never really leave a review but this had to happen: *trigger warning- chewed food pictures* We ordered Jyoti’s butter chicken on DoorDash no more than an hour ago. Half way through eating the order my husband chews a bit on what he thinks is rubbery chicken to find out it’s a curled bandage. We call the restaurant and am first told there is no manager present this evening, then am moved around from person to a final person that claims no one on their team has a band aid or cuts in their hand. So it’s either old food from back when someone did have a cut, or they are lying. Either way this is entirely unacceptable, and disgusting. Though he agrees to approve a refund through DoorDash, but so far thats still pending. I am immune compromised.. so we are just hoping this isn’t something that gets me sick as well. We will not be returning, and don’t recommend to anyone else. Bad and unsafe food, and poor customer service. (The bandage has been soaked in the sauce and it so hard to even tell, you can see the strands from the first picture)

Hands down, this is the best Indian restaurant in the entire DC area. I am not kidding. I love Indian food and have tried so many places from hole in the wall to super fancy. There is very good Indian in the area but Jyoti is byfar the most superior. The place is not very fancy but it's nice. Most importantly, the food is always mind blowing. You must have the Saag Paneer!!!! It is a bit difficult to get to because it is in Adams Morgan but believe me it is worth the trek. For a date, I highly recommend this place as a date location with someone you are already comfortable with because you may be sweating a bit with some dishes.
