CPR 1st Aid Administrator

Do you know what to do in a medical emergency? This one-stop first aid and cardio-pulmonary resuscitation (CPR) course will teach students how to recognize an emergency situation, call for help, and how to render first aid or CPR if appropriate. Join Jupiter Dive Center for this very important course.

The Fun Part

Injuries or medical emergencies are never fun, but learning first aid and CPR skills will give students the confidence to handle them if the need should ever arise.

What to Expect

This is a hands-on class. Students will learn the value of cardio pulmonary resuscitation and how to administer it—including how to assess the scene, evaluate the victim, and who to call for help. Students will practice their skills on a mannequin.

In the first aid portion, students will learn when and how first aid should be administered, the importance of assessing both the injury and the victim, and “The Six Basics” of first aid.

Upon successful completion of the course, students will earn an SDI CPR1stAdministrator certification. First aid and CPR are perishable skills and a requalification course is required every two years.

What Do You Need?

This SDI certification course is taught exclusively in the classroom. Students will need an SDI CPR1st slate for scenarios. This course is open to divers and non-divers alike. The minimum age for participants is 18 years, or 10 years with parental consent.

This course is available September 27 2017
