Join Jupiter Dive Center as it kicks off a summer of Wreck Trek Wednesdays on July 12, 2017 with a double-dip on the USS Rankin!
History comes alive when you explore the USS Rankin—an Attack Cargo Ship that was sunk as an artificial reef during the summer of 1988. Twenty-nine years later, she offers divers a peek at a thriving ecosystem six miles east of the St. Lucie Inlet.

The USS Rankin rests on her starboard side in 130 to 135 feet with her bow pointing south-southeast. Divers will reach the wreck’s superstructure at 60 feet and the main deck at 95 feet. Currents vary at this location due to the Gulf Stream, but it also draws in large schools of barracuda, amberjack, grouper, and black sea bass.
